Knock Knock, Who's There? Apple's Legal Team

This company is using Apple's name in the software, they are not Apple. I'M sure Apple's Legal Team will be contacting these folks. Many Phones are now Paper Weights, or San Fran Skipping Stones. [alert admin]

Still Missing the Point on the Price

Still Missing the Point on the Price End Users understand the Developer wants to push this software as "High End" or better than most. What many people are trying to say is the price is too expensive for a download able piece of software. As many people read the new software on Versiontracker they read about this product. They learn they also need to buy a USB Controller and other devices for lights etc. So they need to spend at least 100.00 to get a basic startup kit and now this developer wants 200.00 for the software. Well for 300.00 you are not going to get many new people interested in using the mac for Home Automation. Lowering the price would bring in a vertical market of new customers. It's better to have 8 customers at 50.00 each than two customers at 400.00. Once you have new customers the Developer can make upgrade(s) money by future improvement upgrades. But for the younger folks who don't have tons of money, 50.00 for the software is something most would spend to have the software. The Developer and Installers can still charge the "Rich" customers whatever you want because money does not matter to them in a million dollar home. It would be better to see 20 new customers every day instead of one or two a week. The word of mouth (Or Internet) is powerful, a great deal travels fast and will bring in new users. An expensive product does little expansion and does nothing for the industry. Everybody likes a great deal. What harm would it do to sell a downloadable small program for a price most people will be willing to pay? I would rather make a sale than make nothing. Keep your price at 200.00 and get a few customers. Drop your price 75 % and get many customers. Think about the free press, the new sales you will generate. It could be the Big Buzz at Mac World, or a footnote lost at the bottom. [alert admin]

EyeTV 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)

EyeTV is Going DownHill - Poor Customer Support

EyeTV is Going DownHill - Poor Customer Support I have been using this program for a long time now. The 2.5 works good, the editing features work great. I bought v3.0 and it sucks. Now they have a new version 3.0.1 and you can only download the update. We use an older mac to run the EyETV & TIVO copies and it is not connected to the internet. Instead of hooking up a flash drive to install the update on the 3.0, we cannot update the program because there is no "stand-alone" update install software. Only a downloadable update option. Let's make it harder for customers to update the software. Even Microsoft offers "Standalone Download" Software Updates. I cannot recommend EyeTV to my friends, it's not user friendly. Stick to the vs. 2.5 [alert admin]

Douglas Fir Fireplace 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Douglas Fir text is Annoying

Douglas Fir text is Annoying Could you make a copy we can see that is the final product? With High Res graphics and no text would be nice to try out. You so worried about some people not paying you the 2.00 you are previewing a product that made me trash it right away. You would do so much better with Donationware on this one trick pony, I for one may enjoy this screensaver this time of year. If your so worried about losing a few bucks why not put a 24 hour time limit, or 3 days, or any time you like. Just let us see the final product without the stupid text. Show us the Finished ScreenSaver w/high-Res and No Stupid text. [alert admin]

Bingo Caller 1.1.2 (Mac OS X)

B_I_N_G_O ! Very Cool Free Game !

This is a great free game for all to play. It prints the sheets 4 cards to a sheet, and batch to 100. If you could please make an option to change the voice of the person calling the Numbers it would be great. The voice that is there now is OK, but if you could link the prog to the Apple voice system, ie Vicky etc. Just in time for Christmas to get family and friends together and play a fast game. When you make the game have voice options you will earn the 5th star. Good Job. [alert admin]

Pound For Pound The Best Shareware on Market

Pound For Pound The Best Shareware on Market When you compare GC to PS it is no contest. But most people don't need all the options PS has. So the answer is GC, the best deal. I have used it for many years. Some people charge 20.00 for a stupid Mp3 Alarm Clock, and other crazy prices for simple Wares. This is a complex program that has hours of R&D, Thanks to The GC Team. Give Graphic Converter App. a Try

Give Graphic Converter App. a Try I never trusted the iPhoto to import all my photos, I learned early on. I always import my photos into a folder, then I duplicate the folder and work with the copy folder, and store the original RAW photos in case of a problem.

Frustrating...

You only have 1.5 GB of RAM? The OS needs more than that just to run. I would install more RAM in your Mac to make it run better. At least 4 GB would be OK. Then you will get all programs working better. Max-Out your RAM if you can, your Mac will FLY.

Great Price !

I too had to pay for the Upgrade, but for 35.00 it's a steal. I bet there is 1000's of hours of R&D in this program to make it to work with just about every file type known to man. PhotoShop is 611.49 on Amazon, I know PhotoShop is a High End Program, but I will never be able to figure all the options and to fully use the App. All I need to do is batch…

TRY THIS FIX

If PopCorn or Toast Crash on startup You... can go to the Library and go to the QuickTime Folder and remove many of the component's that are causing the conflict. I have these installed in my computer and Toast Works Fine. I had to remove at least 5 of them, some Apple, some DIVX, Some XVID, but it's OK because the Perian will do the work of many component's. So if you start removing the oldest component's one by one, you…

Toast Titanium can no longer see my iTunes library

Just go back to 8.0.1, if you can't troubleshoot it. Go to users -> Lib -> Prefrefernces -> then delete the two Roxio files Roxio Toast Prefs com.roxio.Toast.plist then go to the Application Support Folder and delete the Roxio Folder. Now you can re-install the 8.0.1 version or 8.0 depending what your CD is. And there are many conflicts in the Quicktime Folder as I write about in the comment below, you can remove all the Apple items , and see…

Leopard Does not purrrr ....

When you have that much important business on your computer you should always install a fresh new OSX 10.5 on a different hard drive and slowly install your important items one at a time. I have installed a new system on a different drive and I can easily swap back to 10.4.8, then to 10.5. Buy a firewire bootable hard Drive if you don't have a Mac Pro w/extra bays. The new system works with…
