McAfee VirusScan Definition 5308 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
I can not register my VirusScan Plus product. This laptop came with a free 6 month subscription to McAfee which I allowed to lapse because I found a cheaper McAfee VirusScan Plus CD from a local computer store and loaded it on, I believe the CD deleted the other product prior to installing the new version. The program realizes that I had had a McAfee product but fails during the registration process after it says that it sees the former product and will use that product registration. Help!!
