scouter for OS X 1.0b1 (Mac OS X)
this download... the service has been shutdown. When you try to register, an error comes up saying the server has been shut down, sending you to a URL for info. That page says that the company was bought out, and the scouter service is being changed into something else. A very sad day. [alert admin]

Microtek ScanSuite USB 1.0.2 (Mac OS 9)
designed, unfortunately. The detector should be made "faceless", and the scan suite should allow creation of "autocrop" profiles or at least offer presets with higher resolutions. Seems like their grabbiness got in the way of a nice product.... deliberately low-ended. The only upside is that it will, in fact, drive the scanner. [alert admin]

WorkingPapers 2.1.1 (Mac OS 9)
the ONLY way I could operate a Fujitsu Scanpartner 10C that I inhereted from someone's scrap heap. Fujitsu doesn't make a Mac driver at all, and this program works better than any scanner driver I've tried for any scanner I've used. Straightforward, easy and STABLE. [alert admin]
