Damejong 3.7.2 (Mac OS X)
The app itself looks great, and if you already know the rules the English localization is passable. Good luck navigating the Japanese secure payment site, however. It stumped me, even with the diagrams the developer provided. Sadness. [alert admin]

Lotus Symphony 1.3 (Mac OS X)
OK, it turns out there is an http direct download link. Great! But the resulting .dmg installs an Intel-only application. No joy. Don't know/Can't tell if it's 10.5 only, but I wouldn't be surprised. [alert admin]

Lotus Symphony 1.3 (Mac OS X)
(1) You will need to set up a (free) IBM registration account. (2) The IBM "Download Director" Java applet does the actual downloading. (3) The "Download Director" applet needs firewall port 7816 to be open. (4) On the download page it says that only MacOS X 1.5 (Intel) is supported. [alert admin]

atMonitor 1.19.0 (Mac OS X)
Why does it want admin rights when it launches? Will it do this every time, or is it setting SUID bits on something? [alert admin]

Google Earth 5.0.11729.1014 (Mac OS X)
This worked for me (Leopard v10.5.6 (9G55) PPC) : http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20090424045847496&query=google%2Bearth Just a thought: "Keyhole" is also the name of one of the USA's strategic satellite surveillance systems. Maybe this background "updater" is a compromise struck to permit selective redaction of views of the Earth, the same way that GPS can be selectively redacted when needs be? outer [alert admin]

CLIX 2.0 (Mac OS X)
Leopard v10.5.6 (9G55) PPC The CLIX 2.0 icon bounces up-and-down in the Dock a few times, and then vanishes. No Console entries, no Crash reports - nothing. Sadness. [alert admin]

Macally USB Mouse/Trackball 6.0 (Mac OS X)
Both links lead to a 404, and customer support is pleasant but unhelpful. [alert admin]

Ch 6.0 (Mac OS X)
The "Standard Edition" of Ch is freeware - but it doesn't include the fancy graphics, IDE and statistical packages. It DOES provide an interactive, scriptable C interpreter. [alert admin]

Geekbench 2.0.10 (Mac OS X)
They've updated the link with a new build that doesn't crash-upon-launch. My scores, however, are 5% lower using 2.0.10 than with 2.0.9 :-( [alert admin]

After registering they send you an email with a link the credit card entry page. Not so bad.

Permissions - lots of permission problems
See: <http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=9946202#9946202> There would seem to be permissions problems with both the Combo and Delta 1.5.8 update files, at least for some of us...

Yeah, OK, that's what I tried first - and I'm still waiting to be "approved" to post to the Rixstep forums. So what other channel of bug reporting would Rixstep have me use?

Dig a little deeper, Grasshopper, and you'll find that the "Standard Edition" of Ch is, indeed, available for free. Shame on you.

Has anyone tried this with an Aria Extreme PCI card yet?
I've re-installed the 10.3.9 version of AirPort 4.2, and with a new S@nn@t Arias extreme 802.11g PCMCIA card, it continues to work great with both my AP Extreme BS (v5.6) and my AP Express WDS (v6.2) I've not dared to try to set either or both of them up as WPA2 only or WPA/WPA2 for fear of frying my new card. Can anyone say whether that would work or not? outer

Yeah, although I'm still using 10.3.9 - and this update (and my incompetence) seems to have fried my Aria Extreme 54g card. No luck so far, even after using the "10.3 or earlier" updater which appeared after the initial "one size fits all" updater. Thanks Apple indeed. outer

It's a font conflict of some sort. I got around this by eliminating or disabling all duplicate fonts and deleting everything I could find that looked like it had something to do with being a font cache. I never pin-pointed a single culprit, but something I did worked. Word was crashing while attempting to rebuild its font menu.
