QuicKeys X 4.0b3 (Mac OS X)
If people would study the app a little and put some effort into learning it, it could be a real must have time saver. This macro app has very few limitations and is capable of doing some amazing automated shortcuts. It just requires tuning your more complicated shortcuts a few times and trying the wide selection of tools and learning what it's capable of. Nice to see Quickeys still being developed. I have been using it since Mac OS 7.1. [alert admin]

Perian 1.1.3 (Mac OS X)
It now has idx/sub (VobSub) support! With Matroska and all the other great codec support.... Your spoiling us. Decoding video and adding subs to QT encoders is too easy now. [alert admin]

MenuCalendarClock for iCal 3.1.6 (Mac OS X)
I was happy when they first offered to do item support but it is very basic and rudimentary. The rest of the application is very well thought out and smooth. What's with the to do stuff? This is supposed to be one of the features for registered users. There is widgets that work better at this. I would be ashamed to throw out a quick hack for to do items like the developers did, without improving on them. It is a joke and obvious poor workmanship. [alert admin]

DiskWarrior 4.1.1 (Mac OS X)
Like no other. Glad to see Alsoft continue to update it. Works great as always and permission repair problem has been corrected. [alert admin]

uCalendarX 3.2 (Mac OS X)
when you click on a date in the calendar a window or larger text box should open instead of the little text box within the calendar. I don't know, seems handy but the UI feels like system 6 or 7. Needs a makeover. [alert admin]

Startup Chime Stopper 3.0 (Mac OS X)
This appears to be a major version upgrade. 3.0 now sports a unified UI and was completely recompiled under the hood for leopard optimization. I must get these new features but wanted to know about upgrade pricing. Never mind. It's a steal at just over 20$ for the hours of enjoyment and now my start up chime will never be the same. Stox 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Hope they keep working on it. v1.1 makes the difference where this app is more convenient and useful than using a browser. Well thought out with lot of features like newsreader and ways to study your portfolio and other prospective stocks. [alert admin]

Baseline 1.2.0 (Mac OS X)
Not being able to select multiple items really slows down the house cleaning. Shows a lot of potential otherwise but I can clear space faster in the finder at this point. [alert admin]

Intego VirusBarrier X5 10.5.1 (Mac OS X)
I suppose as long as Windows users continue to migrate over to the Mac, this company will continue to capitalize on unfounded fears. Until a legitimate virus is actually established on macs I won't be doling out my cash to them. [alert admin]

Also a Quickeys Backup folder for version 3 should be created on your desktop when Quickeys 4 is first run.

truly a worthless pice of junk
Thanks for being so detailed in your criticism. You and your responding sidecar cohort sure give a lot of good reasons. You are obviously not intelligent or an experienced Mac user or you would understand that the way to delete a preference pane is to right click and select delete. Or better still, use the uninstall feature provided which is located in the :ETC" tab in the preferences. This is absolutley a fantastic utility for accessing applications…

So it started out real cheap, but because it was a great note app, and because he kept adding features, he raised the price and people continued to buy it. What is that supposed to make me think? Maybe I should buy it 'cause it's worth it.

Another successor to Eudora - Odysseus
Odysseus looked interesting until I found it is made using RealBasic. Not that I have a problem with that, it's just that I would prefer my email client to have a xcode cocoa type code rather than a high level multi library app.

Yes. It's just a front end for sparse images. All your getting is the interface. It also created an alias I couldn't delete and was frustrating. Disk utility does the same and is actually easier, at least for me.
