Xiph QuickTime Components 0.1.7 (Mac OS X)

As noted, this component does not natively support FLAC files. However, the release notes point out that it supports FLAC in OGG - i.e. FLAC in an OGG container. As such, this is a limitation rather than a bug - they mention that support for FLAC files may be coming in a future version. [alert admin]

PithHelmet 0.7.3 (Mac OS X)

2.0 works with safari 1.3 (DP)

Pithhelmet 2.0 works with safari 1.3 (DP). Hoverer, the installer complains about the safari version... You can work round this by installing using pacifist. I've not seen any problems so far. [alert admin]

Great app

Wow what a great little app. I tried this a while back and thought it was a little slow and buggy at times... Its really matured now though, and seem to be updating v regularly. $5 over paypal is an absolute bargain for this. Congratulations, you just replaced my itunes widget :) [alert admin]

FLAC support

Furthermore, the author has released a patch which enables FLAC import - however, there are caveats for itunes. More details can be found here: http://barelyfocused.net/blog/2006/10/12/native-flac-in-itunesquicktime/ and the binaries can be found here: http://people.xiph.org/~arek/flac_import/
