iTube Grabber 0.9.2 (Mac OS X)

Great Application

I've been using VideoBox. This beats that hands down. Thanks. [alert admin]

Bean 2.4.0 (Mac OS X)

Bean - The one I've been looking for

I've found the word processor I've been looking for since about 1985. Puts MS Word in the ground and I doubt I'll ever use Word again. Hard to believe it's FREE. [alert admin]

Jahtzee 1.1.1.2u (Mac OS X)

It's a little cheat

This is a fun game to play, but it doesn't always count the dice correctly. Four of the same value may only show three, etc. Sometimes credit isn't given for the actual value of the dice. The mathematics is a little buggy, also not clicking a die to keep doesn't always let the die spin. Kind of wierd to watch. Price is great. [alert admin]

Jahtzee 1.1.1.2u (Mac OS X)

Math and mechanical errors

* Doesn't always add up the real score of the roll, and sometimes an unlocked die doesn't roll. It's a cute program, but it should be played only by kids who like to listen to the dice roll. [alert admin]

Switch 1.12 (Mac OS X)

This is one great application

I've been trying for years and have been somewhat successful finding a way to change music files to MP3 with little work involved. This one does it. It's fabulous and fast and very easy to use. I've never come across anything like it before. I haven't had one hickcup with it, and can't understand why anyone would have a problem. (Tiger 10.4.9, dual 2.3) [alert admin]

Son of Weather Grok 4.2.2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

4.2.1 Okay, 4.2.2 NOT

Version 4.2.1 has worked great for me, except when I click on "About . . ." under the apple my machine freezes, and of course I can't get forcasts. (Beige G3 Tower @467mHz, 768mb RAM, OS 9.2.1 w/ 1.6 Carbon). Version 4.2.2 immediately quits with a Type 3 error. Version Tracker lists it under OSX, but the product information says it'll work with OS 8.6-9.2.2. The link to a version 7.6.1 is broken. Hey, I still like it. I heartily recommend 4.2.1, even with it's limitations. [alert admin]

Devin 1.0.2 (Mac OS X)

NOT ON OS9

Description indicates this will run on OSX or OS9. I tried it twice. Froze my machine both times, requiring a reboot. Couldn't even do a force quit. If you're still running OS9, DON'T TRY THIS THING!!! [alert admin]

Ratiocinator 2.0.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Absolutely the greatest.

I've only used it a short time, but I can see that I'll be using it often. Works great on Mac OS 9.2.1. It's FREE, too. Thanks. [alert admin]

SubRosaSoft Macnifier 1.1.5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Not the best yet . . .

Commentary by Oletom : Macinfier is a nice FREE application, but it starts with a splash panel and puts crosshairs in the center of the magnified window. I've been using Zoom Lens (still available at tucows.com). It seems a little more responsive, it's free, and there's versions for OS 7 and up, or OS X. [alert admin]

Nice idea but...

This thing works great. It's simple and effective, will replace my Videobox. Sure you're not using a PC?
