iFreeMem 3.5 (Mac OS X)
I could only get this app to run once per bootup. Couldn't tell any difference in speed after it ran. Now, if it zapped the VM swap file, maybe it would be worth the $8. Also, I couldn't get the touted additional features to work. I didn't purchase after the trial expired. I have a dual-1GHz PPC dual-mirror-door Mac, 2GB RAM, OS 10.5.8. [alert admin]

PodWorks 2.9.4 (Mac OS X)
I have gotten more songs, trouble- and error-free, off my 160GB iPod Classic in the last 10 minutes than I was able to in DAYS with iPod.iTunes. I was so desperate I even enabled "root" with iPod.iTunes and still watched my system crawl through about 3/4 of my iPod library and then stop for unknown reasons (log reveals iPod.iTunes detected all kinds of "errors") Rubbish. Bravo, PodWorks! Will see how the complete copy works; my iPhone is next up if all goes well. [alert admin]

Things 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)
Got the heads up on this new version (1.1.1) from VersionTracker. When I launched Things 1.0.4 and had it check for an update, it said 1.0.4 was the latest version. [alert admin]

TomTom Home 2.6.1.238 (Mac OS X)
Even with this update, TomTom Home device operation doesn't work at all on my Mac (PPC G4). After I try to invoke device operation through my Mac, TomTom Home defaults to the "Guam" map and crashes when I try to select the USA_and_Canada option. Not sure why Guam is the default, as I purchased the device through Amazon. Nevertheless, being able to operate my TomTom XL through the computer would be a huge time saver. Doesn't look like the app will ever work properly, given the comments I've seen. Yes, I've contacted Tech Support, but I'm not optimistic. [alert admin]

DiskWarrior 3.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Think I've contacted Alsoft once before about this or seen comments posted, but it astounds me that there is still a bug with 3.0.3 that causes a QuickTime related crash when one tries to save a report after DW has run on a drive. Please, please, please, Alsoft. . .get it together. I think this app costs enough money. Judging by all the print ads Alsoft runs ($$$), they could put money into fine-tuning the product they have on the market. [alert admin]

Umm, if this is truly related to some problem with my keychain (my running Keychain First Aid yielded no problems) then why is it suddenly an issue with *this* version of Cocktail? I'm not a programmer, so it may take a little explaining for this to make sense to me. [alert admin]

After taking FOREVER just to launch, I never got to any Cocktail screen except the administrator authentication. Had to force quit Cocktail after waiting about 5 minutes and nothing happening. Keep your older version of Cocktail (3.4.6) for the time being until the developer figures out what he ruined. [alert admin]

Keychain issues: doubt that problem is with Cocktail
I used to run Cocktail weekly. Anytime I have a system freeze and have to power the system down to reboot, I run Disk Utility, Norton Disk Doctor and DiskWarrior, as each seems to have its own strengths. I spoke with an AppleCare tech last week concerning an intermittent system hang I am having (Mirror Agent is the culprit), and together we went through the Apple Hardware Test. My dual-1 G4 came through with flying…
