Nero 8 Ultra Edition 8.1.1.4 (Windows NT, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
This version of Nero is a bloated disaster... This tries to be everything - a disk burner, a music player, a video player, an image editor... what the??? It take forever to install, it bogs down your system and in the end it turns out to be mediocre in everything it does... don't get this - or if you must have nero - stick with an older version (6) [alert admin]

Trampoline 2.3 (Mac OS X)
strange and unintuitive... not for everyone... bit of a software "gizmo" - if you like that sort of thing... what's wrong with the dock anyway? I drag my app folders in to the right side of the dock - right/contrl click on the folder and voila, a menu of all your apps to choose from... [alert admin]

SilverFast SE PLUS (Nikon) LS40/50 ED 6.5.1r1 (Mac OS X)
these guys are idiots - why cant they make a piece of scanning software that handles all supported scanners (like VueScan) instead of having 20 different apps - all of them mediocre [alert admin]

SilverFast Ai (Nikon) LS 8000/9000 ED 6.5.1r1 (Mac OS X)
This is very odd software... badly designed, strange user interface, quite unintuitive and overly complicated... not for everyone... yes it does produce good scans, but no better than Vuescan or even the now very old NikonScan... (if you know how to use them correctly) - And the price of this thing - it's ridiculous even for pro's. Why spend all that money on overwrought mediocrity when you can get simple efficiency for far less in Vuescan. [alert admin]

5-Star Rating With So Many Bad (1* and 2* Reviews) ?!?
Yes Indeed! - I too am curious how so many 1 and 2 star ratings can add up to 5 stars for this product version. There's something very fishy here - Statisticaly this doesnt add up at all. Can someone at VT please explain this for me?
