Amendment 0.5 (Mac OS X)
I have been using Amendment since some of the early private tests were released and I've seen significant improvements since then. I find that it greatly speeds up my typing in both online chat and word processing for university. As a developer, the option to ignore certain applications is indispensable. The absence of a manual is an annoyance, but honestly there is no need for one. This application explains itself marvelously every step of the way, and the developer is highly responsive. In all my hours of usage, I have never experienced a crash, and have only observed a single bug in the current version. I would prefer more options for customization, but even so I strongly recommend anybody who uses a keyboard to try this application out. [alert admin]

chatSearch 0.8 (Mac OS X)
First of all, I LOVE how this thing started it. It asked me politely whether I would like to index my 1904 new chat logs. Why thank you kindly, yes I would. That's what a program SHOULD be like, and that hooked me on trying the rest of the program. Having two search fields is odd. I'm sure there's a good reason for it, but it's clumsy, and should be avoided somehow. What does the left one DO? Why are there disclosure triangles in the file view? That makes no sense at all. They should not be used as decoration. The attempt at emulating google by including a snippet of the start of the message was a great idea on the part of the developers, but it could have been done better. For example, put text from different users in different shades. The message view itself is way oversized. My logs are LONG, I don't them taking up 4X as much space just because the developer decided it looked better that way. That's a bit of a showstopper for me, it should at least be optional. Shorter output won't kill you. Once you get around it's awkwardness, it's a fast and effective tool. Too bad, it was a beauty to start. I'd love to see this polished up a bit, it could be a marvelous tool. [alert admin]

ChatMaster 0.5.1 (Mac OS X)
The right idea, but needs more work ![]()

The first time I opened it up, nothing happened. Nothing at all. I waited a couple minutes expecting some sort of progress indicator, I even tried searching for something, but I was left with a painfully blank screen. So much for that. I tried it again a little later, and this time it displayed a list of my all my buddies. Okay, here we go. It doesn't seem to be an effective model unless you have very few logs. I have thousands of logfiles with certain friends, and a disclosure triangle is not how I want to see those. When you search for something and search results are yielded that way, it becomes far nicer to use. Logs are displayed fully styled with search terms highlighted in purple. But you still have to search for the purple on your own. It REALLY gets the right idea with the delete button, that we users may want to delete certain log files. That needs to be expanded upon a lot. The idea is there, but it feels chunky to use, and definitely needs some refinement. But this is the best that I've tried so far. [alert admin]

Copernicus 1.5b1 (Mac OS X)
The registration system in Copernicus 1.5 has been changed. All previous users of Copernicus are eligible for a free update, just email support@danicsoft.com with your name and old license code. Codes are shorter now (only 8 letters), and don't expire after 7 days. This means that you can keep a code around, and reinstall Copernicus at a later date without having to email for a renewed code. We hope this makes it easier for our customers. [alert admin]

Copernicus 1.5b1 (Mac OS X)
The bug that caused some unfortunate users to have files deleted has been fixed. The problem occurred when the user set their movie or picture cache folders to a folder such as their home or desktop folder. This version of Copernicus adds two safeguards. First, it creates a cache folder within the selected folder, so none of your actual files are deleted. Secondly, it knows only to delete files that it owns. This means that none of your files are at risk, so there is no worry in running Copernicius. This has been thoroughly tested. [alert admin]

DeskCover 1.0 (Mac OS X)
There was a glitch in version 1.0 that caused the desktop sheet to have a width of zero when there were not a sufficient number of icons on the desktop. Version 1.1 rectifies this problem, and is now available for download. It also includes some other minor enhancements, including a readme available from the "About" window. [alert admin]

InforMac 0.03b1 (Mac OS X)
I was wavering as to whether I should download this, I mean, System Profiler isn't that bad really. But after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a shot.
I was totally blown away. I absolutely recommend this application to everybody and anybody who uses a Mac. I often recommend software to people that I do tech support for, and this will be at the top of my list.
With that said, it would be cool for it to show the size of each of the user folders so we can see who is taking up the most space. Maybe even a sortable list, that would be cool.
Great work on this application, keep up the excellent work!

TunesTimer 1.0 (Mac OS X)
That is correct, TunesTimer does display the total play time, which iTunes does not. Also, I will look into implementing a feature to filter out unplayed songs. That should be included in the 1.1 release. [alert admin]

Copernicus 1.3.1 (Mac OS X)
There is a problem with Copernicus 1.3.1 in which recording movies to disk does not work. However, this does not affect capturing to memory. This bug is fixed in Copernicus 1.3.2. [alert admin]

HyperEdit 1.0b1 (Mac OS X)
I've only been using this for a few minutes, but I've fallen in love with it. It's exactly what I wanted! Couple suggestions though:
- New documents should start with a basic html template, with header and body tags.
- When you hit return, have the next line created at the same tab level.
I love this app! [alert admin]
