Mozilla Thunderbird 0.6 (Mac OS X)
both thunderbird and firefox have a weird bug with expose that when you use Expose to display "all windows" both of these programs have two windows even when only one is open. the second window is a thumbnail-sized window that when clicked on brings the main window to the front. very annoying. Proteus 4.0b2 (Mac OS X)
it's a little buggy and needs some polish, but it is my favorite chat program by far. [alert admin]

LiveIcon 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
hints, allegations, and things left unsaid
i don't know if this is a AIM limitation or what, but my friend has AIM 4.7 for Mac OS X and an animated buddy icon and I can't see his icon at all, but he can see mine (and it's animation) when I am using iChat (with or without LiveIcon). Also, I can see the new AOL Superbuddies in iChat from AOL 9 for Windows users, but they are still not animated with LiveIcon (cannot see the animation in AIM either, so not LiveIcon's fault... just a limitation, i guess). further: i would pay $5 for this, but I would never pay $10... that's the difference between a cute haxie and a piece of productive software. it would also be nice if it were a system-wide haxie... animate icons in login window, address book, etc. [alert admin]

iEatBrainz 1.0b3.5 (Mac OS X)
one more issue i noticed... when you update songs and then go to update more, it does not refresh the list... it still shows songs with no album name that i just added album names to... i have to close the program and relaunch it to get it to refresh [alert admin]

iEatBrainz 1.0b3.5 (Mac OS X)
Generally works, but has many GUI problems as well as being a tad buggy. First issue: when I highlight songs from the list of re-tagged songs and click "Update" I expect only the highlighted songs to be updated, not all songs in the list. Second: Needs a progress indicator... ties up it's own program while importing and then ties up iTunes for a LONG time and it needs a way to indicate to the user how long it is going to take to finish. Third: Needs an ability to off user a way of modifying the given data before exporting it to iTunes.... what if it says "Beyonce" when I want it to say "Beyonce Knowles" or "Beyonce of Destiny's Child"? Forth: I like the name, but what is up with the icon? I am picturing Pacman with a brain in a jar mounted on his head. Or a giant brain with teeth. Looking forward to seeing updates of this one. iPhoto Diet 2.1.6 (Mac OS X)
fabsgwu2: yes, you still need this with iPhoto 4.... nothing has changed.... apple still preserves all your backups taking up a lot of hard drive space when you do a lot of editing (possibly a good thing if you want to back up your originals)... according to the developer's site it is untested with iPhoto 4. hopefully it will be certified or updated soon. MP3 Trimmer 1.01 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Tivor: iTunes CAN truncate the file. Set your start or stop point then click on Advanced from the main menu and choose "Convert Selection to MP3" and it will remake the file. I do this all the time to make files smaller length for demos or to reduce file size by resampling at a lower bitrate. [alert admin]
