BitTorrent 4.1.7 (Mac OS X)
In common with others here, tried 4.1.7 and any downloads that start are reduced to a trickle and stop almost immediately (and indefinitely); reverted to 4.0.2 and everything is working as it should be again. [alert admin]

Apple iCal 2.0.5 (Mac OS X)
Am stuck with the "Please quit..." dialog too, despite iCal not running and force-quitting Software Update. Rebooting now.... [alert admin]

Download Accelerator Plus 2.0 (Mac OS X)
Never tried this app before, currently using Speed Download and thought I'd compare the two. This is supposed to be v2 of DAP, but I keep getting v1 when I download it..? [alert admin]

LiSA 3.02 (Mac OS X)
Never heard of this app before, but I have now & it looks great (here on these pages). Trouble is, running the installer lasts approx 0.25 secs before it instantly quits, ie it doesn't even *think* about wanting to install. Checked developer's site for help - none specific to this issue - but found there's an install-it-yourself version. Downloaded that, a folder full of files I've no clue what to do with :-( I'd really like to try this app - has anyone succesfully downloaded & installed v3.02?! [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X 10.3.3 (Mac OS X)
..is so very much faster! Apparently they've dealt with the junk mail bug - let's hope - but instantly noticeable is that the app is currently acting like it's on steroids.. [alert admin]

httpmail plugin 1.30 (Mac OS X)
Been using this plugin for ages, I upgraded to Panther.. The plugin was rejected by the new Mail app, an updated plugin was promptly released.. but no matter what I do it is not recognised by Mail! Plugin's in the right place, where they've always been; executed the necessary line in Terminal; but clicking on 'add account' in Mail prefs NEVER gives me the option to add an httpmail account.... it just isn't there at all, not greyed out, nothing. I've just been through the necessary steps one more time (I keep trying in vain about once a week) but still nothing. If the developer has any clue as to why it's not working, I'd hugely appreciate a reply to this post.. I'd love to say 'keep up the good work!' but it seems Panther has defeated us.. [alert admin]

For apps you're likely to want to access in any space at any time, just set those apps to open in "every space" in Spaces prefs. You can then access those apps whichever space you're in, no zipping about needed.

A useful and in my case at least working suggestion / reminder. Possibly less need for the dig at the end.

Thanks for the support! But unfortunately my system is already fully updated to Apple's latest Java release (& all other system-related updates). Everything else is working as it should be... so unfortunately, if I cannot install this app, I cannot use it, can I? It was a nice thought, though.

Just wanted to add in case anyone assumes I'm an idiot that I have regular scheduled backups so no probs there. It just seems a bit odd that a tiny li'l update can render everything, it would seem, in my home folder totally useless - did a complete reinstall of 10.3 in passing this morning (archive & install) but no prefs can be saved, Keychain Access still can't open my keychain, iTunes no longer…
