iClock Pro 1.0b19 (Mac OS X)
I installed 1.0b19 with hopes that it would fix the bug created in 1.0b18 but no luck--it still doesn't allow me to add it to the menu bar! Checking the Time and Date buttons is futile--after about five seconds they revert back to unchecked. I see user entries on their support forum reporting the same problem, but it's not acknowledged in the summary of fixes. Very frustrating and I can't find a copy of the early version. [alert admin]

Mikogo 2.0.4.090409 (Mac OS X)
After several futile attempts, I learned through the Mikogo blog that it only supports the Intel platform. None of their literature on their site makes mention of this. Too bad, but there are a number of other similar products that do support both platforms. [alert admin]

Garmin RoadTrip 2.0.2 (Mac OS X)
I have Garmin nuvi 350 and it interfaces with Roadtrip, showing all of my waypoints and other POI's. What I can't seem to get to work is the search function. I tried "starbucks" as mentioned in the Help files and didn't get any results. I then searching for my own POI's and got the same result--i.e., nothing found. Am I missing something? [alert admin]

Consideo Modeler 3.0.4 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
The freeware software that you get, although fully functional, is limited to 10 records! The single license is over $180. This should be re-categorized as commercial with a demo. [alert admin]

Acquisition 2.0v206 (Mac OS X)
For no apparent reason after about 20 minutes or so, Acquisition 2.0 just disconnects. I have to quit, wait a few minutes, and relaunch. And the cycle repeats. This is beyond frustrating. I thought that with my recent installation of FIOS and the subsequent higher bandwidth I could expect more stability, but that is obviously not the case. The developer's FAQ does not address this issue. [alert admin]

Acquisition 2.0v206 (Mac OS X)
Well, it looks like the new filtering improvements include connections....just like in version 204, the connections are dropping off again after a few minutes. Unfortunately I stupidly forgot to keep a copy of v205. [alert admin]

Cisco VPN Client 4.9.01 (0090) (Mac OS X)
The Cisco site claims there is no software for the Mac client.... Software Download Mac OS X VPN Clients NOTE: There are currently no files for this type. [alert admin]

Inquisitor 3.0 (v49) (Mac OS X)
I had been using Inquisitor successfully with Safari 3.x while in Tiger for the last month or so. However, this version (v49) is not functioning at all once I upgraded to Leopard. I've installed the bundle in InputManagers folders both at my user level as well as the computer level. Any thoughts? [alert admin]

Acquisition 2.0v200 (Mac OS X)
I've been using Acquisition for years and I did receive an email from the developer with the new activation. While I've been reasonably content with the older versions, v.2 don't keep a connection for longer than 30 seconds! Anyone having similar problems? [alert admin]

Scrabble 1.0.1.4 (Mac OS X)
Nice look and feel, with a lot of handy items like the dictionary, hints, etc. Only bug I've run across so far is that the program doesn't change your personal rating regardless of how many games you win against the computer opponent. An email to the developer has gone without response. [alert admin]

I learned from another site that it just doesn't work with Safari...yet, I guess. Works fine with Firefox and Camino.

Version 20 finally fixed the problem. I have a PPC and it appears some library was missing. All is good now....

Are you sure you're reviewing the right product? MacGourmet doesn't, and never had, a "Save" command. It does so automatically, thus a keyboard shortcut is a moot point....

Look into MacGourmet. Does all you want...and a whole lot more. Has pictures, categories, etc. Plus does automatically populates everything from four or five major recipe sites. And allows you publish your recipes on your webdav site with a single click!

I've used MG for years and I agree that it's great. As for printed recipes: assuming you have a scanner that includes OCR software, that's the way to go. It's certainly more of a hassle than the website imports, but doable. Depending on the quality of the scan and OCR, you will have to do some clean up. Just save the file as a text document, select the text, and import…

They stay up longer than in the previous releases, but still get dropped after about 15-20 minutes. I agree that the search starting anew everytime you click on a search name is different but not harmful. I find it odd that you can't adjust column widths anymore.

Am I missing something about the Growl notification? I was expecting it to work in the background in lieu of having to turn on the dashboard. Instead, it notifies only when I'm showing the Woot widget. Perhaps it's working correctly, but then I fail to see the advantage of the Growl integration. Might as well just have the widget operating. Am I doing something wrong?

I wiped out all the Acq related files again, including the plist prefs and now the connections seem to be holding up (at least for the last five minutes).

Great--just loaded release 201. Now I don't get ANY kind of connection (at least with the first release I got connections for about a minute or two!) And yes, I did delete all Acquisition-related files.
