iChm 1.4 (Mac OS X)
I'm very picky with apps and iChm is very nice with a professional touch. I feel like it's part of Leopard, almost. It even has an option to save as PDF. Thank you! [alert admin]

StuffIt Expander 12.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Excellent all-expanding app with encrypted zip support for free
I do appreciate that this expander is freeware, because it not only supports many formats that the built-in Mac OS X expander doesn't, but also beautifully opens encrypted ZIP files made on other platforms. Just launch the free StuffIt Expander, drag-n-drop your password protected ZIP file, enter the password and off you go! :) [alert admin]

YummySoup 1.0.6 (Mac OS X)
I have tried many recipe management apps and liked none so that I had to make my own database. YummySoup is different--it's a true Mac app, feels and acts like it belongs here and for ver. 1 is remarkably stable and feature rich. Adding recipes is fast! This is important. No need to input all the fields if you don't need them. Just a real joy to use, I love it! :) [alert admin]

BurnX Free 1.1 (Mac OS X)
Fantastic! Excellent! Should become part of the OS. ![]()

There's software that lets you burn CDs at $100.00 and 200MB hard disk space. It's very popular, too. What can I say. People ARE strange ... ;) BurnX Free is excellent! Small, simple, and beautiful OS X user interface, no clutter and no hidden files copied around your hard drive. Just speed and ease of use. I particularly liked the fact BurnX doesn't need to create temporary files and caches, but directly burns to CD. I wish the developer all the best and thank him for this nice utility. [alert admin]

iPhoto Album Extractor 1.0v2 (Mac OS X)
Disappointment: I chose the library and no photos appeared whatsoever. Would be nice if the author warned the users beforehand. :( Apparrently works in previous versions of iPhoto. I was looking for a way to extract several folders/albums at once to burn a CD for my PC friends. [alert admin]

Folder Icon Maker 2.0 (Mac OS X)
Ver. 2 has a "not registered" timer of 10 seconds, no open folder state still.
Because of that, either stick to the previous versions or take can combine icons, it has open folder state, aka animated folder when you drag sth. over it. Much nicer. [alert admin]

How wonderful there is a true opensource app that plays just about all formats on my lovely mac. :) No need for Windows Media Player, for this, for that. VLC just plays all. An of course all those old DivX movies, too. :) [alert admin]

Same for me. Keep thinking HOW to turn into needing/using/justifying it and can't just trash it. And that urge to buy... What the heck is going on here?!

Can you please elaborate on how you managed to contact the developer? I'm afraid to reinstall my OS. What if I can't activate this app afterwards? Thanks!

Tried today and the website was still down. I find it unlikely that the software registration would work. Please, developer, either have this fixed or release an unlock procedure for those who obtained this software rightfully. Thanks!

That's pretty awful. Does that mean that I won't be able to reinstall this application ever again, because its 'activation' on the author's server is unavailable?! In that case we'd have been ripped off--instead of buying software, we'd have bought only a several months subscription to it in some cases. :( I also read that it won't work under Tiger. What a shame. CCI was the only Icon app that easily created icons, which animated, i.e.…
