While DP 6.01 looks better and some things are working better, a few nagging issues remain. First and foremost is that some users (myself included) are experiencing app freezes while editing in the event list. DP is also reporting a "Fatal" error while loading some plug-ins but doesn't say which plug-in is to blame. Proverb is the one that is always showing at the time of the OS error report, and the app appears to be continuing to load and operate normally after that. [alert admin]

I'm one who doesn't disconnect all my stuff and just hits Software Update for my desired updates. So far, the installation was transparent - as it should be. PPC G5 Dual 2.0; 4 GB RAM OS X.5.4 [alert admin]

33 RPM 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Might need the Quicktime Pro version to do so, but it works well in either direction (faster or slower) and for movies as well as sound and other media files. [alert admin]

Wow! This is almost too good to be true. I desperately needed to catalogue a gigantic CD collection and this makes it so darn easy. I also bought Bookpedia for the same reason. Now our collections are all catalogued and listed for insurance and otherwise. THank you for an amazing app that was well thought out and put together. We're stoked! :) [alert admin]

This app is awesome in the truest sense of the word. It works great with my Canon Alura 100 attached via Firewire but even faster if I enter the ISBN # from the keypad. The search feature is extremely fast and checks an array (cascade) of sources including the Library of Congress. Being able to "correct" entries to fit our needs is perfect! Now our 1000's of books are once again at our fingertips. Thank you, thank you, thank you! [alert admin]

Avery DesignPro 1.0 (Mac OS X)
This program wants to ONLY access one printer on my system, regardless of what I select in the page setup. Also, in trying to calibrate, it goes into an endless loop in the page setup part of the process. The labels aren't precisely printing and I don;t see any way to even print a PDF that I can use to fudge the margins a little. The bloat is apparently all the graphics in the program. So while I am thrilled that Avery is providing this program (which is otherwise quite good) I regret it is not as useful to me as In Design or even "My Label Designer." [alert admin]

Microsoft Office 2004 11.4.2 (Mac OS X)
The combo updater is kind of standard, MS. I am not going to go thru PC hell on my Mac for MS anymore. WORD and Office are off the radar from now on. Someone please write a decent Mac suite to compete effectively. [alert admin]

Apple Safari 3.1.1 (Mac OS X)
This os weird. The download is OK for Tiger but NOT for Leopard 10.5.1?! It will not install. I know... update. Well, I can't as some software and drivers are not working in 10.5.2 - but why would Apple release a package that works in Tiger but not in Leopard? <sigh> [alert admin]

Who needs hourly backups? I do for one. I write music all day long and a lost hour is more than a lost hour sometimes. It is several minutes of music that connects to the next, sometimes for 106 instruments. Other times it is an audio recording that cannot be replaced. Save, save, save - of course. But TM has served me very well in the studio and in many more ways than I can relate…

Not really. Detour did much more than mute. It routed to various outputs and you could set different volume levels for each app. I miss this too and would pay a lot to get it back.

A second re-boot is fairly common with recent updates. If you start running before that, the system may well go ahead and do the second reboot without you! :)

Try DETOUR (shareware) and it should send the audio to the FW device. It is discontinued, I think, but you can still find it here: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/20128

Frankly, I prefer hand processed payments to auto payments. Not always practical, but for a smaller operation perfectly acceptable. Besides, you are allowed to go to dinner Christmas weekend :) as long as you;re back in the office to stoke the fire on Christmas morning EARLY!!!! Just basedon this post, I will try the program. Sounds like you have some happy customers.

Doesn't show up in Software Update
Same deal. Also the Security Update would not run on my 10.3.5 system. Maybe because I'm not running Remote Desktop? I ran the stand alone iTunes and QTime updates from the Version TRacaker links and they seem fine... The Apple discussions web site also has users mentioning that Software Update does not show these 3 versions... MM Maybe the Apple server was programmed by Diebold?

The first upgrade to MachFive improved the horrid performance issues and intergration w/DP4 is (was) swift and accurate. Even the latency issue was gone. But again, I am working on a 1.4 GHZ machine with 1.25 GHz of RAM. I would imagine it may well be extremely frustrating on a slower machine. Of course, this bodes poorly for the general user so i have to agree with you in that regard. But on a fast machine,…
