Apple Xcode 3.0 (Mac OS X)

Link is incorrect...

This link takes you to XCode Tools 2.4.1. Just log into your developer account and the download will be there. If you don't have one, sign up to be an online developer (it's free). [alert admin]

Sure would like to use this...

...but it won't install for me on Tiger and a PowerBook G4 1GHz 17". Tried the DMG trick as well, but no luck. What is the deal with this disk check failure? I even have the XCode Tools 2.1 installed and it isn't working for me. Apple, please correct this so people don't have to fight with this to get it installed. [alert admin]

File Juicer 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Phones Home...

Great application, but it phones home every time you try to use it. I cannot recommend this to anyone until the spyware feature is removed. [alert admin]

Cropmarks 2.0 (Mac OS X)

Can be innacurate in creating crops...

Tried to set an offset distance of .0625", but it calculated the distance incorrently and placed them in closer than I specified. I emailed the company but got no reply. I'm using InDesign CS 3.01 under Mac OS X 10.3.3. Also seems to break drag and drop of PDFs into a document, although the same file can be placed without issues. Price is also kind of high for a single user. Should be more like $5-10 max. Cannot recommend this product at this time due to problems I've seen as soon as I've begun using it. Maybe there are workarounds. I'd also like to see the ability to assign crop mark color from registration as well. There are cases where I need them with black or a specific color only and not on all plates. [alert admin]

Complete PHP 4.3.4R2 (Mac OS X)

PHP PEAR implementation is missing the PEAR Log package

It would have been nice if I didn't have to go learn about this the hard way. Still, it seemed a lot better than having to compile everything else on my own. I would still recommend it for a quick way to get up and running. [alert admin]

Webmin 1.121 (Mac OS X)

As in most other UNIX-based applications...

..that can be installed on Mac OS X, you will need wither XCode Tools or the Developer Tools need to be installed in order to compile or run them. This is NOT the fault of this or any other UNIX application. Just the way it is. [alert admin]

Doesn't work with OS X 10.4.3 server

Works fine for me. Been using it for years with Mac OS X. Just don't expect every module to work with your system. I'd say about 90% or more modules do work okay.

Hmmm

Most here are aware that this is a package. Some have had success by dropping it into a folder and creating a .dmg, then mounting & installing from there. Something is up with the disk check. My situation meets all the requirements for installation, and it is not working in my case.
