PrefsMenu 1.2.4 (Mac OS X)

Works in Leopard

Seems fully functional in Leopard 10.5.1 save for the "Sort by group" option. Uses the correct icons for prefpanes and toggling "Tiny icons" works without the need to log out. [alert admin]

Ext2 Filesystem 1.4d4 (Mac OS X)

BEWARE: Fried my hard drive!

I was testing this software on a (ext2) hard drive with expendable data just to see how well it worked. I knew this is a "developer's" version and I was aware that it might kill the data--but as the data was expendable, no problem I thought--I could just reformat the drive. However, I got a kernel panic as soon as I rebooted with this software installed and when my Mac started up again, it would no longer recognize the drive at all. I tried accessing the drive from a Linux PC, but the computer would not even boot with the drive attached. All attempts to revive this hard drive have failed. BEWARE: THIS SOFTWARE DESTROYED A PERFECTLY FUNCTIONING HARD DRIVE! [alert admin]

After that it crashed hard and took the system down with it. After a restart, Word launched fine. Haven't used it much since then as I am…
