MenuMeters 1.4b3 (Mac OS X)
The network module does not display the upload/download info and the full descriptor of the primary interface. I have no idea about the other modules- the network is the only one I use. [alert admin]

expod 0.7.2 (Mac OS X)

expod 0.7.1 (Mac OS X)
works now with 10.4.11- but nano 5G still crashes it
Developer did a fast job of fixing a boot crash with 10.4.xx, but the new nano 5G will still halt the app dead. All the other iPods I've tested it with are fine. [alert admin]

MacPilot 3.3.7 (Mac OS X)
updating from within 3.3.6 did not work
I had to download the update from here, rather than from within the app itself, a feature I certainly appreciate when it works. [alert admin]

Senuti 1.1.7b1 (Mac OS X)
I did send the developers a crash report, and they've responded in excellent time. Now, what's the whole story with Apple and the iPod interface changing all the time...? [alert admin]

Senuti 1.1.6 (Mac OS X)
This will now work with just about anything. (And the iPhone add-ons will even let you browse using the Finder, as long as Senuti is up and running.) But, and it's a big but, the new nano confounds it- it will not be seen, although it appears that Senuti starts to try. Hope this will be fixed soon. [alert admin]

DisctopPro 2.6 (Mac OS X)
This app is not being supported any longer by the developer, and while it's cute as hell, it will not find DVD cover art anymore by itself. Probably a quick plist fix if I knew what to do. AFAIK, it does work with SL. [alert admin]

Does not work with Safari 4.0.3

Does not work with Safari 4.0.3
I have Glims working on my G4/10.4.11 with Safari 4.0.3 just fine- BUT- I'd already had Glims installed and working throughout all the Safari 4 versions. When I tried to install Glims on my Powerbook G4 12" with Safari 4.0.3, Safari will not boot, crashes after a few bounces, and the crash report clearly shows Glims as the culprit.

However, VLC versions since 0.9.9 require video specifications that many G4 machines do not have. Or something. At any rate, only 0.8.6 works for me, and yet many other players have no problem outputting video on my system, including MPlayer, and Quicktime Player, and NicePlayer. Why VLC fails and they succeed? I don't really know.

"Yes, EasyFind is more flexible (e.g, can search for strings WITHIN files), but I generally have to reboot after a long search." I'm pretty sure I haven't noticed this, but after using both for awhile, I find I'm going to FAF more often than not. It's the speed, and, as you say, it actually finds more files, although both have always found the file I was actually looking for. Looks like a worthy battle.

I'm answering my own question- I much prefer EasyFind, although FAF is fast, that's for sure. But it lacks a heading for Location, which is, at least in my case, using about six partitions at all times, crucial. And the alternate view, a tree, is useless, as it does not show the actual files. These could be quick fixes, though. http://www.devon-technologies.com/files/EasyFind.dmg.zip

2.1.3 hangs up 10.4.11 during boot window
Answering my own comment- the developer just sent me an email (I'm a registered LS user), and his nightly build solves the problem. I installed it this morning on my home machine. All's good. Kudos to such a swift uptake.

This version 9.9a, still fails to output video, at least on my G4. 0.8.6 works just fine. Don't know what the trouble is, as NicePlayer and MPlayer all work, too.

10.4.11 nothing but crashing Safari
Well, thanks, but no thanks- I have no desire to return to a clearly nonviable state. In addition, I had to reload APE itself, because after rebooting, both Mail and Safari would not launch at all, giving some -18xxx error. Something is amiss, and maybe I'm the only one it happens to, but it did.

Tidy gives up several warnings for your page, most of which are for proprietary code. Try removing that first.
