CopyPaste Pro 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I've used CopyPaste for years. It's always been a "must-have" app on my computers. And to tell you the truth, I didn't think it could get much better. I was wrong. The new CP Pro v1 *is* better. Much, much better. I collect a ton of information and do a lot of writing, so I use CopyPaste all day long. The new version makes my work SO much easier. Would I recommend CopyPaste to a friend? Absolutely! [alert admin]

Leap 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)
Wouldn't it be better, and way cheaper, to simply learn how to use your computer rather than buy a crutch, like this app? That said, Spotlight will find files by type, it's amazingly fast and easy, and it's FREE! Why Leap is priced at $59.00 is beyond me. I can't imagine paying anything near that amount for this app. [alert admin]

TypeIt4Me X 4.0.1 (Mac OS X)
I used T4M for years and, at one time it was occasionally useful, if buggy. Finally dumped because Spell Catcher has this feature built-in, and has a much superior implementation of this feature. Today, I see TypeIt4Me, Launch Bar (Spotlight does this for free), Z-Write (buggy, never improved, shoddy), and other similar applications as being of very limited use. Some, like T4M are One-Trick-Ponies. All seem to be examples of developers trying to milk very OLD apps of limited value, for every dollar they can wring from them. I don't know how this developer has the NERVE to charge so much for TypeIt4Me. And I certainly don't understand why people would throw away good money on an app like this, especially when there are so many less expensive, and in many cases, better, alternatives. [alert admin]

ChordMate 1.1.4 (Mac OS X)
There are much better choices out there
Taught guitat for ten years, played for decades. If you're looking for a program that can really help you improve your guitar playing, check out "Guitar Shed". Do a versiontracker search for the link. It's a hundred times better than this app. Guitar Shed has a chord catalog, but it ALSO has a song "slow-down" capability, play-along tools, metronome, tuner with many options, rhythm tracks, musicians organizer and much, much more. On top of all that, a license costs only $18.00. Can anyone tell me how in the world ChordMate can be worth $30.00?. I can't see it! It *might* be worth 5 to 8 dollars, if that. [alert admin]

LaunchBar 4.3.4 (Mac OS X)
I used Launchbar for years and loved it, but it IS a one-trick pony. I stopped using LB as soon as I learned to use Spotlight effectively (and Spotlight will do many more things than LB). I get kind of tired of seeing developers who keep trying to milk these old dead cows to the last drop. Oh well...it's only money..... [alert admin]

Skype 1.5.0.77 (Mac OS X)
Just saw an internet phoe app on versiontracker that was 5M. Why is the Skype so freaking big and bloated? 31 Megs for a lousy phone app. Who's writing this thing. Micro$oft? I think this app deserves one star because its developers keep making us download new versions of this monstrosity. [alert admin]

LaunchBar 3.2.12 (Mac OS X)
Why does anyone buy this app these days?
I have a registered version of LaunchBar (earlier version) but I long ago dumped it. Why? Because it was no longer needed, so why have it taking up disk space. I use Spotlight for all the functions LB was used for. Spotlight even brings up contacts for emails, etc. I also got tired of throwing away money on "one-trick-ponies" like LaunchBar and TypeIt4Me, etc. Especially as there are so many low-cost or no-cost alternatives available, Often the alternatives are not only cheaper but better. Seems like these developers are only interested in continuing to milk an already dead horse. [alert admin]

HotService 2.3 (Mac OS X)
Anything to make using Services more efficient
I hate having to mouse around if it can be avoided. There's another way to quickly access the Services menu that may work for some people. In keyboard preferences there is a hotkey one can use to quickly access all menu items: Control-F2, then navigate using the arrow keys. [alert admin]

Pea brain? Why do you come here and insult people? Who do you thihk you are? These members have every to share their opinion of this software AND its developer and his tactics. I checked out this link because I was surprised they are still trying to sell this product. Like you, I bought a license many years ago. And, like you I have NEVER had a need to use it. I remember trying to open one file with MacLink and it couldn't open it. One lousy file in all these years, and it couldn't handle it. Tsk, tsk... Buying this software was the biggest computer related mistake I…
