Dropbox 0.6.550 (Mac OS X)
And if only they said what the update was for...
Dropbox seems to be like a lot of developers...they update their product without telling you why. Dropbox - 0.6.550 is the current build, updated to versiontracker on 8-24-2009. So...what were the changes or bug fixes? [alert admin]

OK...they're not going to develop it
from the plasq website: "Thanks for your messages. Still Life is no longer available for sale. We are providing Still Life 2.4 - Universal Binary - as a courtesy to our existing users who have transitioned to Intel processors. But at this time there are no plans to sell new licenses. Very sorry for the inconvenience." But they post a a link to the old grantedsw.com website...where you can download the Universal Binary version 2.4 <sigh> What a great application that *was* [alert admin]

Pay It Down 1.1 (Mac OS X)
if I download the link with Safari, the resulting Pay It Down.dmg file will not mount with "mounting failed". If I try to double click the .dmg file, it says "The following disk images failed to mount Pay It Down.dmg error -199" If I option-click the download link, and then double click the payitdown.dmg.gz file, I get ""Unable to unarchive "payitdown.dmg.gz" into "Downloads". (Error 1 - Operation not permitted.) [alert admin]

Yahoo! Messenger 3.0b2.78326 (Mac OS X)
Compared to previous versions, at least under Leopard 10.5.2, there are frustrating pauses in responsiveness, especially around the time of Growl notifications. Every time a buddy logs on/off, I get a freeze in UI. If I'm typing in the chat window, nothing shows up...but then all of the text that I was typing will show up at once. [alert admin]

seems nice but no screen size option 
Great implementation, but i have a 24" screen...I'd love to be able to zoom it out to full resolution so the tiles would be bigger. [alert admin]

FANTASTIC service used with my iPhone for many months. Unfortunately, the SoonR daemon is not compatible with Leopard 10.5. They are aware of this and are working on an update as of 11/4/07 [alert admin]

Canon CanoScan Toolbox 4.9.3.3 (Mac OS X)
Anybody with LIDE 25 and Intel Macs?
Great to have the CanoScan application Intel-native. But unfortunately, it reports a "can't find driver" error when I try to use it with my Intel iMac and my LIDE 30. Anybody have luck? [alert admin]

I saw someone refer to the video feature as "OK". Huh? I've never seen video on yahoo at more than a frame per second, or seemingly that way. Is it usually higher FPS on the Mac? Windows? [alert admin]

1st Gen iPhone Bricked with 2.0.1
Be sure that you're connecting the iPhone DIRECTLY to the USB cable, and not through the iPhone dock. Also, make sure that the cable is DIRECTLY connected to your computer, not to a USB hub. See if that helps. It did for me.

It appears to be a Safari-specific bug, at least as of 3-18-2006. Try loading the page in Camino and it works fine.
