DVDxDV upgrades are terrible  

I purchased DVDxDV two years ago (version 1.32). I have upgraded 3 times (1.34, 1.35, 1.38). Each time I was unable to find the upgrade on the company's web site and each time I had to write to the support group to find out how to upgrade. When upgrading to 1.34, the original license key didn't work. Upgrading to 1.35 must have gone well because I have no record of emails after I received the download link. Upgrading to 1.38 was a nightmare. The email I got in reply to my request for a download link was unintelligible. It appeared to direct me to sites which only had eval versions. When support clarified where to find the fully-functioning code, I was required to reenter my license key. Neither the original key or the 1.34 replacement key worked. Lucky for me I had saved the email from 1.34 which contained a .plist file and directions for where to manually save it. That worked. I had a break today so I decided to upgrade all of my applications on my Mac. I upgrade approximately 10 apps. All of the apps either had an upgrade function in the software itself or I was clearly directed to a download site. None required reentering a license key. And none required any manual effort other than clicking some buttons in dialog screens or dragging an icon to the Applications folder. DVDxDV fortunately does what it is designed to do. It's a pretty good product except for a terrible upgrade process and a support group which doesn't seem to like to talk to users. MG [alert admin]
