eMail Broadcaster 1.0 (Mac OS X)
Lovely. Just frickin' lovely.
One-stop shopping for spammers (combine this app with their eMail Ripper and what do you get?). Don't even try to convince us there are legitimate uses for this combination of products. Please don't insult our intelligence like that.
If you people can't come up with some legitimate products, please do us all a favor and forget VersionTracker exists. This one may have an above-board use with a legitimate mailing list, but if you really have no clue what someone would do if they bought both of them, then I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you.
People who sell hash pipes, bongs and water pipes can try all they want to convince authorities there are legitimate uses for their wares, but they still get arrested for peddling paraphernalia. People who enable spammers should be treated no differently than the spammers themselves.

eMail Ripper 2.5 (Mac OS X)
The developer claims that there are legitimate uses for this product. I would sure like to hear one. Just one, and I will alter my opinion that it is just a spammer's harvesting tool. [alert admin]

Audacity X 1.3.5 (Mac OS X)
The first thing I noticed was that it crashed upon attempting to open a WAV file. Can't drag n' drop as I've always done, can't import, can't open in any way. MP3 imports and exports fine. [alert admin]

DMG Enabler 1.1 (Mac OS X)
I will echo the earlier question: what is an "Internet Enabled DMG?" Why the distinction? [alert admin]

dashSense 0.1.6 (Mac OS X)
Accuracy and terminology are a problem
I am unclear what "earnings since last payment" is supposed to mean. It's not a term Google uses. Google pays by the calendar month, and the payment comes on the 25th of the following month, so is "earnings since last payment" what I have earned this month, or what I have earned since the 25th of last month? Whatever the developer has in mind, the amount displayed in DashSense doesn't match up with anything I can pull directly from the AdSense report. I hadn't looked at AdSense for a while, so I was rather thrilled when DashSense told me I have earned $818.19 (amount since last payment), only to be let down when Google itself said my earnings for February (as of 2/22) are $371.95. Not even close. Am I supposed to subtract something from something else to figure out what I actually earned? The last payment on January 25 was for December. Is "earnings since last payment" January AND February? The amount earned today is accurate, but the amount earned yesterday is not, nor is the daily average. In all, needs work. [alert admin]

Writeup says it will run on 10.4 PPC, but it doesn't. I get the icon zoom as if it was launching, but nothing else. [alert admin]

MEDA WMV/WMA/MP3 Converter 2.1 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
...if you charge $29.95 for it. What is it about the word FREE that is so difficult to understand? It means "NO CHARGE." Not now, not after a 30 day trial, not ever. I'll accept that perhaps this 2.1 was free, and that it's only the current 2.5 they're charging for, but they really should update the information here if that's the case... [alert admin]

Apple Mac OS X 10.4.11 (Mac OS X)
I allowed the automatic update to take place this morning. All of my startup items were wiped out. Not deleted, just removed from the list. Third party preference panes set to be on at all times were also affected. Take a look at your account settings and preferences before you do this install, maybe take a screen shot so you know what you may have to fix?. [alert admin]

Pardon me if I'm getting my big cats confused, but isn't OSX 10.4.x "TIGER?" I believe Leopard is 10.5. [alert admin]

FormulatePro 0.0.3 (Mac OS X)
Now this is useful! I have Acrobat on a Winduhs laptop, with which I can annotate a PDF, but this is so much simpler, and I don't have to go over to the Dark Side to do it. I figured out how to make text something other than black. If colors are possible in drawn shapes, the how of it is not obvious. If it isn't possible, it should be (not meaning to look a gift horse in the mouth). [alert admin]

I should also mention that the DMG as received is named 1.3.5, but the Audacity file is identified in Preview as 1.3.4.

It may be on a par with Apple Mail or Entourage, but it still isn't Eudora. I am among those who is still rather amazed at how these people have the audacity to rationalize using the Eudora name to publish a repackaged Thunderbird, by saying their intent is to complement Thunderbird. "Complement" means one thing enhances the other, and the very nature of the concept means that both have to be used at the same time. How…

This download instruction places the tar.gz file in your home directory, yes, but it still has to be expanded/unarchived before you execute the terminal command as described in the readme. COMPLETE instructions are in order, I think, both here and in the readme. Far too much is left to figure out on one's own. The email address in the readme is useless (why bother including it?), because Marius Schamschula doesn't respond to questions, and it costs $25…

You might have read that Penelope was a plugin for TBird, but Eudora is a standalone app. Virtually identical to TBird, containing absolutely none of the old Eudora functionality and flexibility.

FMChecker Preview is FREE and valuable
No, it is NOT free! It is a PREVIEW (or, at the very least, a "Lite" version). The term "freeware" describes a fully functional application for you pay nothing, not now, not ever. An app which will run in a partially disabled mode (even without time limitation) until you pay for it is still SHAREWARE. Take an example from Qualcomm: The same install can be used in the feature-limited free mode, the unlimited sponsored mode,…
