Reunion 9.0b (Mac OS X)
Some of these poor reviews here must be agenda-driven. I've been a Reunion customer for around eight years and version 9 is much better than the earlier versions. Have also looked at and evaluated alternative genealogy software and none are really in the same league, IMHO. Support is excellent and you don't need to worry about patch-per-week updates, either. Lastly, it's not a Windows port as it was never developed for that platform. I still think Reunion is the gold standard for genealogy software. [alert admin]

GyazMail 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)
This has to be the world's only e-mail client that's either current or under developement that doesn't support IMAP. My suggestion to the developer would be to stop focusing on all of these peripheral issues (14 bullet points in this update alone) and start implimenting what this software really needs to be taken seriously. People have been bringing this up for over a year now, I think. Until then, giving this software a high rating is like signing the praises of high definition black & white television. [alert admin]

GyazMail 0.9.9.3 (Mac OS X)
that this is a mouse trap that keeps getting better but with fewer mice around to trap. The world keeps moving toward IMAP and until GyazMail does, too, this software has limited utility. [alert admin]

any bugs in my Mail. Without IMAP support I just don't see how this can be a serious replacement for Mail, Entourage, or Eudora. Until then, the only notable thing that this offers is an interface that's more like Outlook Express than Mail -- and I do consider that to be a plus. [alert admin]

Did you actually install it and use it? It works fine for me and probably about 99% of everyone else who has tried it. By the way, there's non-free software that doesn't work very well.
