Firefox 2.0.0.14 (Mac OS X)

Problem with Euro signs and prior versions of Firefox 3.0

Hello,

hm ... the Euro sign will not be displayed correctly under Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.15.
In Firefox 3.0, the Euro sign looks fine.

http://www.mittelalter.net/p04579_feather_bluse_viscose.html

Since many users are still using Firefox 2.x.x.x, I would appreciate
if prior versions of Firefox 3.0 would display the Euro sign correctly.

Hello,

Firefox 3.0 does no longer display the system font "Helvetica Neue Light". In all prior versions of Firefox 2.0.x.x. it worked fine.

Apple Safari 3.1.2 (Mac OS X)

System font "Helvetica Neue Light"

Hello,

I have noticed that the Mac OS X system font "Helvetica Neue Light" is not showing up correctly under Safari. My css file is fine.

Is there a reason why the typeface will not be displayed in Safari? (Same problem with the latest release of Firefox 3.0. In Firefox 2.0.x.x it worked fine.

Great job

Developing websites with Mozilla Firefox makes a lot of fun. The way Firefox is handling html/css properties is very reliable and most of all logical. Keep going folks! Your market share is growing steadily. graphically & sincerely, Marc Klein mediaVinci - The art of invention [alert admin]

Apple Safari 3.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Table row/css bug in Safari 3.1.1

Hello,

the problem with TR tags and CSS classes has not been fixed in the latest release of Safari 3.1.1 even though I have posted this issue several times by using the "Site Bug" feature in Apple Safari.

http://www.history-of-aviation.com/about/index.html

The background image near the bottom of the page which has been applied as a css class to a table row tag appears as a tiled background. The css class has been applied to each table column instead of a single table row by Safari.

Once again ... I would appreciate if Apple and/or the Webkit developers could fix this issue.

Thank you.

HTML/CSS and web standards?

Hello,

the problem with TR tags and CSS classes has not been fixed in the latest release of Safari 3.0.4.

http://www.history-of-aviation.com/about/index.html

The background image near the bottom of the page which has been applied as a css class to a table row tag appears as a tiled background. The css class has been applied to each table column instead of a single table row by Safari.

This does not comply with web standards. I would appreciate if Apple could fix this issue.

Thank you.

Adobe Photoshop CS2 9.0.2 (Mac OS X)

Truncated and corrupt vertical color scale in the color picker palette

Hello,

I have noticed that the vertical color scale in the Adobe Photoshop color picker dialog box often appears truncated and corrupted.

I have not noticed a similar effect as long as I am working in offline mode.

I am using Adobe Photoshop CS2.

Does anyone have a solution or any advise for this problem?

Apple Mac OS X 10.4.11 (Mac OS X)

Slow download via System Preferences > Software Update

Hello,

I wanted to install the latest security update via System Preferences > Software Update yesterday. The download for itself would have taken more than half an hour. The download procedure of my Apple Software Update seems to run in "throttle mode".

I went to the apple.com website and downloaded the file via web browser from there. It took me less than 5 minutes.

The file I have not selected via ctrl-click

Hello,

a couple of days ago, I have noticed a real phenomenon.

I clicked on a photo image file in the finder window. I applied a ctrl-click in the Finder to open the file directly in my Adobe Photoshop application.

Context menu (ctrl-click) > Open With > Adobe Photoshop

The funny thing was, Adobe Photoshop did not open the file I have selected in the Finder. Instead, another image was opened in Adobe Photoshop but not the one I have selected in the Finder via ctrl-click.

Solved: Adobe InDesign does no longer start up (after clean Mac OS X 10.4.10 install)

Hello,

a friendly user on the Apple discussion forum pointed me to the following
URL on the Adobe website which solved the problem after restarting
my computer.

http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=331578

For sure, I haven't changed the permission settings of the "SING" folder.

It makes me speechless to see with what software related problems
users have to deal nowadays.

Adobe InDesign does no longer start up (after clean Mac OS X 10.4.10 install)

Hello,

as far as I have noticed, all other apps from the Adobe Creative Suite CS2 package are working properly. I am able to quit and re-launch all CS2 applications except InDesign.

I have also tested InDesign 4.0.5 by using my admin account under Mac OS X 10.4.10.

Same problem here. I can launch InDesign only once and it hangs on the second launch. The Finder says the application is no longer respoding.

Any ideas or suggestions?

graphically & sincerely,

Marc…

save as earlier versions?

Hello,

I agree with you entirely.

What I do not understand in Adobe's software politics is the fact that Adobe Illustrator CS2 for example is offering me the choice to "save a docucment as" a CS1 or a CS2 file.

In all Adobe InDesign versions however, this option does not appear at all.

Exchanging document files in different software vesions has become essential in todays business life. Especially in the case when you are working closely with different printing…

This is a Joke....right?

Some critical Adobe Products (especially the CS2 Suite) have serious Problems or are incompatible. Acc. to Adobe there won`t be an Update or Bugfix. Definitly a Moodbuster.

Hmm ... it's getting stranger and stranger. This is definitely a "killer" and a "No-Go" for upgrading to Apple Mac OS X 10.5.

What is the point here? Buy Adobe Creative Suite CS3 if you want your piece and being able to work productively?

It was really…

Adobe sometimes is a real genius in making things complicated

okay ... pouuh ... I have found a posting on a french forum where someone else describes a similar problem. The user needs to convert an InDesign CS3 file to a CS1 file because his client is still working with Adobe InDesign CS1.

http://forumde.lalogotheque.com/index.php?showtopic=14508

Converting files from InDesign version CS3 to CS1 is not possible. The user downloaded a demo version of Adobe InDesign CS2 in order to convert the file. (Which is complicated enough on…

What's happening to France and their "Égalité, Liberté, Fraternité"?

Hello,

it is Saturday morning and I could play around with my little daughter and have a nice breakfast with my family. No, instead I am sitting here to solve a problem even though there should be none on my opinion. This is the third day and I am not able to send emails via Apple Mail.

And honestly, this has an enormously negative influence on my business. I have to find a solution so that I…

Stay hungry and foolish ...

Dear Andreas,

I am an Apple end user which means I am using Apple software and hardware every day to get my job done. It is definitely not my job to find out which "snippet" of a third party software causes severe problems under Apple's operating system. No, it is definitely not my job as the end user to investigate my time in order to analyse who is the "victim" and who is the "culprit". And…

Finder refreshes on CTRL-click

Hello,

another Apple user has posted a quite interesing remark on the "macnews.de" website.

My Apple Mac OS X Finder crashed and refreshed constantly by using the contextual menu on both of my machines and I thought the Mac OS X system itself was the cause for my mentioned problem.

Well, I was wrong. The "StuffitCM.plugin" from Stuffit Deluxe was the scurvy file that caused my Apple Finder to crash repeatedly each time I was using the…
