Feature Request: Scheduled Backups

Hello, I could need an extra feature in Panic Transmit for creating a scheduled backup via FTP/SFTP. Scheduled FTP/SFTP backups should include: - Days (Monday - Sunday) - Time - Pre-selection of a "Favorite" (including "Remote Path") - Pre-selection of synchronisation settings (Synchronization direction, Synchronization method, Options) - Destination folder for creating a local backup of an entire web server for example This would be awesome. graphically & sincerely, Marc Klein [alert admin]

HTML Templates in Apple Mail?

Hello, the pre-delivered templates in Apple Mail are fine and really nice. BUT. How can people import their own HTML email templates? I believe this is a question that quite many Apple customers would like to know who are using Mac OS X for their business or organization. I would like to create my own HTML/CSS email stationary and I would like to import and edit this HTML file in Apple Mail. I would like to use a web standards compliant html/css file. I do not want to create my email template in Apple iWeb. graphically & sincerely, " Innovation is only the sum of many inspirations. " Marc Klein [alert admin]

Problems with audio files in Apple Mail

Hello, the Apple Mail updater works fine so far. I have only noticed one problem. 1. I restart my computer 2. I launch Apple Mail 3. I select a message which contains a .wav audio attachment 4. I click the play button in the quicktime slider => False - No sound, no audio output 1. I quit the Apple Mail application 2. I re-launch Apple Mail 3. I select the message containing the .wav file 4. I click the play button in the quicktime slider => True - the Quicktime file plays correctly in Apple Mail This problem with my Quicktime audio file attachments in Apple Mail only appears after a restart and on the first launch of Apple Mail. Ho Ho Ho ... pe that helps. graphically & sincerely, Marc Klein [alert admin]

Mail cache?

In MacOS X 10.4 the cache folder was located here: users/Library/Caches/Mail I could simply delete the folder and restart Apple Mail and see the changes in my html emails. In MacOS X 10.5 the cache folder for Apple Mail is gone. And now? What do I need to do to in order to clean the Apple Mail cache? Questions like these are a waste of time for developers.

Mail sounds missing

I have set up some sounds for some of my mail folders as well. I have noticed a similar issue. Sometimes the sound work properly, other times it works not. Fuzzy. 70% focus on design and 30% focus on information

On my opinion Apple is putting too much attention on design and forgets what is really important. 1.) Apple is setting their focus definitely on design + animation 2.) The user however is setting his entire focus on INFORMATION In the new version of iCal, I need to double click to view what is most important to me - my INFORMATION! I need make another click on the "Edit" button in order to customize my entries. The popup box…

GUI suggestion/idea for iCal in MacOS X 10.5

A 4-column user interface design would be more suitable on my opinion: 1.Calendars | 2.Week | 3.To-Dos | 4.Info If I move the mouse over the entries in the window pane (second column) for "Week" for example, the information should be displayed in the 4th column "Info". Pros: 1. I have access to my information, dates and notes quickly and easily with a simple onMouseOver 2. The information will always be displayed in the…

Problem solved after clean MacOS X 10.5.5. installation

Yahoooooo! The problem described above has been resolved. I have made a clean Mac OS X 10.5.5 installation on my PowerBook G4 the past week-end . Re-imported my backup files by copying the folders: users/someusername/library/Mail users/someusername/library/Mail Downloads users/someusername/library/preferences/com.apple.mail.plist I have checked the same mail again with the 7 file attachments which all have the same file name. If I click on one file attachment, the appropriate file will be now opened. Great! Nice! Super chouette! Thanks. graphically & sincerely, Marc Klein
