DiscLabel 5.2 (Mac OS X)
I've downloaded the new version a few times, but every time it hangs during launch of the program. I've used this program since version 1 and quite like it, but this update has a flaw. [alert admin]

Microsoft Office v.X 10.1.6 (Mac OS X)
I tried to install on two machines without much success. It always hang after clicking the install button. I finally killed all VShield... processes started by Virex 2.5 and that allowed the installation to go forward. [alert admin]

two applications to your login startup items: N067U_ButtonManager for LiDE20 and N124U_ButtonManager for LiDE30. Most people have only one scanner, which means the other button manager is continuously looking for the device. It writes "Looking for devices matching vendor ID=1193 and product ID=8717" (in my case) in the Console log. This fills up your console log! Every few seconds it adds another line "Looking...". This will eventually fill up your disk. It also wastes processor cycles! Remove the unnecessary ButtonManager from your Login Items to fix it. To MacMgr: the Canon ScanGear CS released yesterday IS the driverset for OSX. [alert admin]

runs at full CPU after loading a page. While loading a page the CPU usage goes up and down (as you would expect). When th epage is finally loaded, CPU usage goes to 100%. ProcessViewer divides the activity as 25% WindowServer and 70% IE. Going back to 5.2.1 fixed that strange behavior. [alert admin]
