MovieConverter 1.2 (Mac OS X)
(Does't work) ...contact me directly
Hello, yes I'm french, no the app is localized in English (made by a native english speaker). Localization in the app is made "on the fly", but didn't succeed with your computer (and you saw my debug display, nobody should access to it normally) Could you contact me by mail (my address is in the web site) to know what happened and to correct it... PS: you are the first one to report this error. If MC bugged at launch time, seems coherent that the app does not work at all :( PSS: The "Help" is only online sorry to contradict you but there is a help inside the app (access: Menu item "Help"->"Help") waiting for a feedback... thanks and bye [alert admin]

myDVDEdit 0.9.9 (Mac OS X)
I used the beta version (0.99), this soft is great, powerful and ergonomic (for a so technical purpose). It even could correct an error with a DVD, that DVDSP cannot handle! Documentation is not so easy, but you can access to all functions just with your mouse, try a modification and preview it directly. Spend your time on this soft, it's so powerful :-))) [alert admin]

PDFCombine 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I was lazy enough to not search for a way to combine .pdf. This tool is very basic and efficient, just open the terminal: - drop the tool on the window - drop your 1st pdf to combine on the window - drop the 2nd, 3rd, ... - type (or copy) "-o ~/Desktop/Combine.pdf" and your combine pdf will be on your desktop. It's the first time I use it, very simple no problem :-) PS for the dev: an automatic output (like ~/Desktop/Combine.pdf) will be more simple, if the user didn't specified it. It will be more ergonomic ;-) PS2: too bad there isn't a progress bar (but I tried CombinePDFs after your soft, and the progress bar was wrong). It's impossible to have a real progress bar? PS3: something strange (same with CombinePDFs), the resulting pdf(1,5Mo) is much bigger than the 2 input pdf (912Ko+12Ko)! Seems that the Apple API didn't just concatenate pdf... bye :-) [alert admin]

D-Volution 2.0 (Mac OS X)
I tried all my dv files. It works great with my dv (PAL and NTSC, regular or DVCPRO, even the dv from ffmpegX). Except for the DVCPRO50 that it don't manage to encode with the 1st pass, I must use the "pré-export option" (but who cares of this format ;-)). No problem with this soft and ...easy to use and for free ! Thanks Could be perfect if it says to me when a dv file must be pre-export first. [alert admin]

MediaCentral 0.1 (Mac OS X)
I DL and try Nice works, sure ther is a lack with gestion of iTunes and iPhoto but it rocks! The DVD player use the "last used" VIDEO_TS on HardDisk too, it's great (but one was not accessible anymore and the soft try to load it). Then a very good substitute of frontrow (with some abilities more, and some less but I think it's just the beginning of a good soft) Great [alert admin]

DivIllusion 0.21b1 (Mac OS X)
The same tools than oher app (ffmpeg, mpeg to work), but WITHOUT the price ! No need to search for parameters, the soft is -well- automatised. One of the greatest of this app is the ability to suspend process (if you want all the CPU for another work during the encoding) WITHOUT loosing the previous encoded data !!!! I dropped, I clicked and that's all (I have a result AND IT WORKS) I didn't try the burn option, then I dunno if there is problems (like other reviews said). if you want to spend money with less good softs... ;) [alert admin]

not illegal at all to sell a GUI. ffmpeg is complex, if ou want to use the command line, you can do it by yourself. If you want to use the GUI pay for it (if it's a shareware). I didn't try yet the sof t (only DL), the soft jkust have to write somewhere the © of ffmpeg, that's all. The binary (from CVS or release) is free to distribute. Take a look to the GNU…
