the demo fills its window with a request for payment. every ten seconds that fades to the normal display and immediately returns to the request. it is impossible to tell what the app does and whether it is worth paying anything for. [alert admin]

D2X-XL 1.5.70 (Mac OS X)
it launches, puts up a black window briefly, and disappears. even launching from a terminal window produces no diagnostic output. the FAQ suggests unsupported graphics card or missing game data files. where to put the files is unclear from the instructions. i have tried the two likeliest places without luck. i have only demo game data; i don't know if that matters. the installation instructions say nothing of game data or other files, except to mention their folder names, and to suggest that the latest game version doesn't care where they are. 400 MHz G4, AGP graphics, plus an ATI Radeon 7000 card in PCI slot. Mac OS X 10.4.3. [alert admin]
