Music Recommendation 1.04 (Mac OS X)

Apparently no one is using it anymore... :^(

All the claims of it taking forever to process ratings are no longer a problem. It's consistently 5.72 minutes for me. I almost wish it were longer, since that would mean people were still using it. It's a great idea, it just never really got enough use to be truly useful. The iTMS really needs something like this. [alert admin]

Praeco X 1.8.1 (Mac OS X)

Overreact Much?

Contacted Authorities? I doubt the developer is responsible for changes to ebay. As for his website, that is a shame. Though when you buy any software, there is no guarantee that it will be around forever, or even work for ever. [alert admin]

Stattoo 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Cool app, but...

I echo the previous reviewers sentiments about resizing. It would be nice to specify which modules go on which monitor & use both monitors as well. But, my biggest peeve is actually that it shows in the dock. I would rather it be a little menu bar app or something (suchas SureType, Synergy or PTHCPUMonitor which I am running now). More config options for the individual modules would be nice too. But the concept is great, at least til Tiger gets here and maybe beyond. [alert admin]

iTunes XHTML Playlist 4.1.2 (Mac OS X)

Don't forget...

To those that have had problems, don't forget to Export Song List... to a plain text file from iTunes. Then use that text file when you Choose File from iTunes XHTML Playlist. Works great then. I was having the same problem before I remembered that you don't use the iTunes XML file. [alert admin]

BoX 1.4 (Mac OS X)

Works for me!

It works great under Panther (10.3.4 actually). So whatever broke it for Jag has been fixed. Great simple little prog. [alert admin]

Adrenalin Racing 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Not so bad...in fact, pretty good.

The game is actually quite good for what you are getting. Yes, the physics could use some work. But this is one of the few driving games I've tried that is driveable with a keyboard. The lift-off oversteer is actually pretty accurate (if a bit over-active). Yeah, the models could be better, as could the scenery. But I had no problems changing the resolution...I played it @ 1280x960 with no problems. I haven't tried 1.1 yet, but I think I ran into a few of the bugs it fixes, so it should be a bit better. DVDAttache 1.12 (Mac OS X)

Preferences?

OK, I realize this is a cross platform Java App, but you customized it enough for OS X/Linux to use my ~/Documents folder for files, so why not add a preference to allow it to be changed. I would like to be able to keep all my DVD/CD/Book Catalogues together in one sub directory...my Documents folder is cluttered enough. Also, it allows you to edit the text downloaded from Amazon, but doesn't save it anywhere. A facility for comments or something would be nice. [alert admin]

iPod Access 2.7 (Mac OS X)

Slow?

Is it just me, or does the app seem really slow & unresponsive. I am on a Dual Processor 1GHz G4 with 512MB of RAM running Panther. When I connect to my 10GB iPod it takes forever to do anything. Very much a click and wait experience. Very unfortunate, because other than that it seems that it would do exactly what I would like to do. [alert admin]

Jiggler 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Actually...

To plaintiger: Actually, your settings would also have the problem of going to sleep inappropriately. Where this is most annoying is when watching a video in something like RealPlayer, Windows Media Player or some other non-Apple player. They don't disable the screensaver like Quicktime Player & DVD Player do, so 5 or 10 or 15 minutes into what you are watching, it goes blank. VERY annoying. It's a great little utility that does exactly what it's supposed to. I'm glad someone thought to do it! [alert admin]

EverQuest 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Used the beta...

This actually is a great game & quite addictive. I have several friends that play the PC version, and it plays just as well on the Mac as the PC. To me this is impressive, since they have had to port their entire 3D environment to OS X. We also get quite a deal in one regard, the Mac version includes the first 3 expansions, so we are only one behind (so far). That saves us a bit of dough at least. Though I do have to admit it would be nice to be able to play with the folks I know that are on the PC servers...then again, what would a level 10 Druid do with a bunch of level 60 players? :^D [alert admin]
