MPlayer 2.0b8r5 (Mac OS X)

MPlayer

Full of bugs. Playlists can not be saved. playlists can not be shuffled. clicking the play button only plays the first movie in the playlist. It doesn't go on to the next movie even when the play mode is set to continuous. [alert admin]

GifBuilder Carbon 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Needs some bug squashing

I like the simplicity of it. It is exactly the kind of app I was looking for. Very easy to use. However, I can't get it to save my animtions. It saves empty gifs with all black frames. The link to the developers site is just a link to download. Does not seem to be any developers site and consequently no email adreess for the developer so I hope he or they read this. I'm running it in 10.4 Tiger and it works fine except for not saving the final product. I don't recomend gif builder until this is fixed. If it can't save properly It's pretty much useless. Total Immersion Racing 1.0.2 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

They Blew it big time. :(

I have found this to be true for two titles from Feral software so far. This and Enemy Engaged. The games recognize every device I have connected. My CH Products F-16 Combat Stick USB, my CH Products Pro Throttle USB and my CH Products Pro Pedals. But they only let me use one of the devices for control during game play. For an aircraft as complicated to fly as a Helicopter this is utterly rediculous. I've played much lower end sims that allow the use of multiple devices. It seems necessary for any flight sim. Why they would only allow the use of one controller is beyond me. You would want to have your flight Stick or steering wheel if you have one as the analog steering control and your pedals as the analog gas and brake. Lets face it, for a driving game to really be any good it has to give you comfortable and famialr analog control of Steering, Gas and Brake. But NO. You must pick one controller to use. Not all three. What kind of Crap is that. I hope they wake up and smell the coffee and fix this with an update. It could be cool but with the control options being what they are it's total crap. Enemy Engaged 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Could be great but they dropped the ball with the handeling of input devices

OSX SkyFighters 1945 0.6.5 (Mac OS X)

I'm lovin it. :)

Yes it is still an unfinished work but shows great promise. Pilots are starting to show up online for online dogfights. The mission builder is a great new feature that the classic OS9 version didn't have. The mission builder is a bit tricky to learn but once you've figured out the ins and outs it's pretty easy and a lot of fun. And online flying is FREE! Monthly subscriptions to fly online are rediculouse. No way do I need another monthly bill. I've no idea what other sim writers are thinkin about. [alert admin]

better games

I don't know what your sniffing but what countless newbies have you seen put off by the veterans. I'm one of the veterans and we're always eager to bring newbies in to the fold. Why wouldn't we be. You're right about there not being enough online players. We need more. Buy this Sim! Flying online is Free!

I have had this same problem the few times it did actualy save the final product. Most times for me it just saves a empty file with all black frames.

Mac OS X application.... NOT!!!

They have no system requirements section on there website and they want $50 bucks for a classic app. We're in to Tiger now. That's 10.4. that's 4 major releases of OSX that have gone by. I have to take away that star you gave them Diego. ;)

Could be great but they dropped the ball with the handeling of input devices

I thought my beef would be clearer if I just paste the email I sent to Feral here. I think it explains better. I tried the demo and noticed that the demo recognized all three of my devices. CH Products F-16 Combat Stick USB, CH Products Pro Throttle and CH Products Pro Pedals. But it only allowed the use of one of the devices. I assumed this was just a restriction on the demo version. After…
