podUp 1.1.0 (Mac OS X)

New Version

There's a new version (1.1.1) that can self-update and is internationalized for french, german and italian. VT seem to be taking a long time (4 days so far) to update this page, so you can get it at the futsoft page: http://www.futility.co.uk/futsoft/podup.html [alert admin]

scrambles accented / "umlaut" characters

I think I've found the problem...it seems that Apple use a non-apple character set in iPod/iTunes/Music files...it should be a simple fix, but I need to check a couple of things. Hopefully I'll have a new version up in a day or two. Best, Mark

I'm really sorry to hear podUp is scrambling things... Can you tell me what language your system is running? And were the problem files encoded with iTunes? Feel free to email me at futsoft@futility.co.uk Thanks, Mark

ipod "not recognized"

Sorry your iPod wasn't recognised (the 's' is because I'm british) - seems like I need to do some more testing with 10.4.10 - I'm away from home at the moment, so I'll get to this asap. For what it's worth, my 80g video iPod (bought in January this year) seems fine with podUp on my macIntel laptop. Which kind of Mac are you using? (Intel, G4, G5?) Best wishes, Mark
