iTweaX 2.0.4 (Mac OS X)

Administrator Password Requirement

Looks like a great tool for the technically proficient. But to demand that I have a password! I don't want an administrator password. I haven't needed one for the last 10 years and I don't intend to start now because your application won't work with a blank one. Don't act as a dictator. It's not becoming. There's far too many of them in this world. [alert admin]

Xtorrent 1.1 (53) (Mac OS X)

Great tool but!

XTorrent is a great tool. As someone working in IT it has helped me out of a few holes when I've needed to re-build applications onto customers disks and I have the customers serial number but incomplete sets of disks or damaged disks. That is until I had to re-construct my own hard disk. Now every time I re input my activation code XTorrent refuses to accept it and I am left with the slower download speed and items that tell me I have to upgrade. Lastly and importantly. After multiple emails about this issue, NO RESPONSE from the developer. [alert admin]

mobile connection at home and abroad

I have to say that this product has consistently performed. It's easy to set up and use and works everytime without fail. Worth every penny. [alert admin]

Microtek ScanMaker ScanWizard 7.20.1 (Mac OS X)

ScanWizard AGAIN

I do wish Microtek/UMAX would get their act togather. I actually like the way Photoshop Import works to get the file straight into Photoshop. Vuescan's OK but not quite as slick. But! Every release of ScanWizard since 7 tells me that my X12USL is supported but then having dowmloaded 53 Megs of data and gone throught the install the damn thing still won't work. I even e-mailed tech support who had the audacity just to respond with, and I quote "Hi, Unfortunately there are No drivers available for OSX 10.3 Tech support" Well hey, there's a surprise as to why I'm off to buy a different scanner that's NOT made by Microtek. Microtek ScanMaker ScanWizard 7.14 (Mac OS X)

MicroteK Upgrade Policy

Whatever Next? I am running a G4 dual 1.25 and since upgrading to OSX Jaguar and now Panther, I have never been able to get ScanWizard to work. Bug after bug after bug. Now when I see they have a released yet another new version, I try to download from versiontracker only to find the link is bad. Go to MicroteK and discover they want me to pay for the upgrade with no guarantee that it will work. STUFF EM! Vuescan isn't as smooth and doesn't scan direct into PhotoShop but at least it works.
