SteerMouse 4.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Not quite right

Overall, this software works well. However, since version 4, if I put my Mac to sleep manually, SteerMouse won't let it wake up. I am forced to restart my computer. [alert admin]

Logitech Control Center 3.1 (Mac OS X)

Why do they even bother?

I thought I'd give this latest version a try - on the off chance they actually got something right. Nope. My menu bar would periodically vanish and all my Safari tabs would become identical so I couldn't tell which tab was active. It's quite incredible (or should that be arrogant) that Logitech can't write a decent driver for its own products. [alert admin]

USB Overdrive 3.0 (Mac OS X)

Works flawlessly here.

I'm not quite sure why people have had negative experiences. Perhaps those having 'problems' with old prefs not being usable should have read the release notes that clearly state that old prefs won't work with the new version due to an issue with SL. Anyway, all my regular peripherals work fine for me. Not problems at all. [alert admin]

TimeLog 4.5.2 (Mac OS X)

Causing kernel panics in 10.6

Since upgrading to OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) TimeLog has been causing kernel panics in most of my other applications. Sure hope they update/fix this soon as I've only just recently bought it and I'm feeling a bit ripped off. Also, there's a bit of a learning curve - doesn't seem to be as intuitive one might expect. DragThing 5.9.4 (Mac OS X)

Simply the best!

I've been using DT for eons. I think this software and its developer should be used by other developers as benchmarks for quality, usefulness and reliability. I've never had any issues with this software and its customisation means I can set it up just how I like it and just get on with using it. Outstanding. [alert admin]

Smart Scroll 3.1.3b4 (Mac OS X)

Good enough, but uses APE

This program seems to work pretty well. As soon as I noticed it uses Unsanity's Application Enhancer, I removed it quicker than you can say APE. Application Enhancer is a haxie that messes with ur Mac. Be aware! [alert admin]

Logitech Control Center 2.7 (Mac OS X)

Utter rubbish.

This software wouldn't recognise my MX1100 - one of the newest Logitech mouse on the market. Why do they even bother? [alert admin]

Logitech Control Center 2.4.0 (Mac OS X)

Strangely - seems ok here.

I've had issues with previous versions of this software, but version 2.4.0 seems to work well with my Intel iMac running Leopard 10.5.2. Still, I'm nervous when another Mac or LCC update comes along as this may all quickly go horribly wrong. [alert admin]

SteerMouse 3.9 (Mac OS X)

Broke my Finder

Had to uninstall as it broke my finder. Not enough testing? [alert admin]

LaunchBar 4.3.5 (Mac OS X)

One of the most indispensable apps on my Mac!

There is nothing can touch LaunchBar for its power and ease of use. I've tried all of them (Quicksilver, Butler, Dragthing, etc.) but LB has never left my Doc. The best at what it does - PERIOD. [alert admin]

Omni Web ~ The Crash King!

I recenly purchased this browser as an alternative to Safari. Boy, what a mistake that was. I can't run this thing for more than 5 minutes without it crashing. I've never owned a piece of software that crashes so much. Do yourself a favour and avoid this lemon at all cost.
