Hey, how about some support for 10.5? Does anyone know if this works with 10.5.2? [alert admin]

SecretBook 3.1.1 (Mac OS X)
Well, I think it's been four months since the last release and it's about time for another one if he wants to keep saying it has the highest release rate of any PM program. Overall though, it's really good... basically turning it into a keychain replacement, over time, kinda... After A LOT of digging i found out that the encryption is 320-blowfish w/salt. so that's fine... also, spotlight integration is unreliable for me.... meh... [alert admin]

AppDelete 1.1.1 (Mac OS X)
This app DOES miss stuff about 20% of the time or less... BUT it's 1)free, 2)works 3) simple 4) tells you what it's going to delete 5) moves items to trash, so you can secure erase if you like... This app DOES NOT: install system components that slow down performance (like a couple other "uninstaller/app remover" programs)... This is my choice, for the function, however, I do occasionally do a deeper manual cleaning, which may not be pragmatic for some end-users who don't know what to look for... Just remember, the other apps that DON'T install system spy components still miss stuff... [alert admin]

Transmission 0.82 (Mac OS X)
After having tons of problems with Transmission updates since after 0.6.1... I just downgraded and stayed with 0.6.1... until now!!!! 0.82 has, for me, resurrected the app I love... works great again now, and maybe I think I even DO like the new version better... though I was fond of the old icon, the new inspector is definitely superrior, and THE APP WORKS!!!! Thank you! On my systems, still the best bit cli out there! [alert admin]

StuffIt Deluxe 9.0.2 (Mac OS X)
I have used Stuffit Deluxe 9 (9.0.2) for as long as it's been available... forget 10, forget 11... Especially if you're on a PPC... don't even bother!!!! If you can find yourself a copy of SD9 then jump on it!... One tip... you need to install the 9.0.1 update, THEN the 9.0.2 update... however: the 9.0.2 update gives the wrong information (i think it says something like it is actually gonna install 9.0.1 again or seomthing...) Don't believe, just go ahead and proceed with the 9.0.2 install even if it says it's already there, or it says it's gonna install a different version (if you have the right installer, it will give the wrong info, so beware, and update anyway... i've done this many times on all my macs, but haven't reinstalled in a while, so i don't remember exactly the wrong info it gives.)!!! SD9 never gives me grief!!!!! (of course it is missing one or two formats that are only common for certain non-standard compression, but there are free apps for these gaps!) [alert admin]

Cyberduck 2.7.3 (Mac OS X)
1) Simply One of the best ftp progs out there. 2) The New version (2.7.3) was a great update and solved all of my issues. 3) Updates are not infrequent! 4) Accepts Donations. 5) Opensource. 6) Responsive to email. 7) Combines view w/drag-n-drop & (finder) spring loaded folders. And room for improvement! 5 Star App. [alert admin]

Acquisition 122.2 (Mac OS X)
has a few problems... such as how it doesn't verify a file if it is over 100mb... it stays in the DL que b/c it is still VERIFYING and thus not COMPLETe and never ever finishes... lame... I am actually thinking of trying limewire again after about a 4 year break from it.... [alert admin]

Microsoft Office 2004 11.1.0 (Mac OS X)
The dictionary feature is worse in 2004, you can no longer right click to get a definition, and it's not as smart with dealing with your selections. Also, there is no compatibility with word 5 for mac, or at least it's a lot less compatible so you lose more formatting etc... But otherwise, it's cleaner i think. [alert admin]

Note: this comment was pertaining to version 40beta... so.... we're on 2.5 now... please... can someone say something more helpful about this now? Just d/led... so i'll give it a go... but please have your head on the ground when using BETA apps and why not give a bug report to the programmer... i wonder if the person who posted this is a programmer, or just likes to complain loudly.... mmm?

Use 0.61 IF you can... that's my recommendation, i was using it until 0.82 worked for me, the versions between 0.61 and 0.82 didn't work for me... but we might have diff systems so... I am running 10.4.10 on PPCs... Hope that helps

Ummm.... I think maybe you should have tried the most recent version before 10 to compare... 9.0.2 works quite well... it's stable and w/ a pretty good contextual menu (no peek inside though).

I absolutely agree... that would, for me, triple the usefulness of this widget, as I usually am tracking USPS packages, sometimes FedEx and UPS.

I use this to conveniently transfer my music from one of my computers to another... it is really helpful b/c I don't want to transfer all of my music, and it's way easier than browsing the friggin iTunes music library folders by artist..... uh yeah... you suck man... you really really suck., trying to slander a software producer in such a lowly way... you may choose to believe I am lying, but I choose to…

Actually he is making a list of shortcomings of an app. Whether he paid for it or not doesn't matter, everyone can benefit from knowing shortcomings and issues. So please don't call him a troller, you are obviously too sensitive to deal with people that don't pay for an application that gives you an option to pay or not.
