G-Force 3.9.2 (Mac OS X)

3.9.2 authorisation issues etc.

As always with G-Force it seems unable to go to full screen mode properly using the full screen (it still goes letterbox format despite forcing it to your actual resolution). also your existing serial number may have problems esp if used on dual boot systems giving erronoius 'installed too much' or 'invalid code' errors. this still needs bug fixes [alert admin]

KisMAC 0.2.99 (Mac OS X)

10.6 Snow Leopard BUG

This sort of runs under 10.6 but has one bug - namely channel number is always reported as the channel of the network you are on and NOT the actual channel. better than stumbler that reports nothing though! [alert admin]

DVD RegionCode Unlock 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Dangerous!

As you can only change the region code 3 times before are set of the firmware is allowed then a further 3 times before it is fixed forever. allowing non-admin users to do this eve once is very very dangerous as there is nothing to stop six different attempts to lock out the drive altogether! [alert admin]

MAC M4P Converter 5.0.3 (Mac OS X)

Legality of such products

I would like to point out that the use of such programs to remove copy protection is illegal in many countries and the only legal way to divest a program of copy protection is to burn it to a CD then reimport the CD as this is permitted in the copyright limitations of the originally protected tracks. Another way is to harass sites to only sell unrestricted music (itunes plus) amazon et al and only buy such songs... [alert admin]

Apple Safari 3.2.1 (Mac OS X)

3.2.1 Banking BUG

The 3.2.1 Update causes many banking sites to stop working due in part to the supposed anti-phising features that were introduced and working in 3.2.0. Apple and banks need to sort this issue urgently and release update!! review is for this version only all other verions get 5* [alert admin]

USB Audio HAL plugin driver 1.5 (Mac OS X)

Supported Devices = nil for Macs

The 'Supported Device' requirement needs expanding as although many are supported on Windows those supported on Macs are very very limited and developers site does NOT say clearly so you try then find you don't have the supported device unless you change to windows!! [alert admin]

Adobe Updater 5.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Kill updates

This was installed by the link which no longer exists and after the install it would only update Acrobat products despite all CS3 being on machine . following adobe supports advice I deleted all update files and prefs but when trying update from an App menu it reverts to only doing Acrobat or in worst case only the updater. this has now killed the Update feature on my CS3... Now only 2 instead of 200 plugins for the same price

Most of us who work with smart phones get them upgraded 4 times faster that you think - every 6 months. so the way this works won't give us 18 months of use as one a phone is added you cannot delete it and use up your limits. Please find another way of licencing this that allows us who CHANGE our phones at a business rate to use the product or are your trying to get…

Adobe don't seem to want Mac business

do what the rest of the world do buy it via a US proxy service... they bill your credit cars the cost in US$ plus the lesser of 5% or $20 and they buy it (the serial number as anyone can download the trial version but it needs a serial number to function) for you then transfer the licence to you. search for links within your own organisation or search purchase prosy USA

Not quite so

Actually most people change their phones every 12 months at most with some changing after a theft or loss on average every 3 months . also buying a new version still does NOT remove the old fixing of installed models.. a way to remove models once installed is a MUST to continue using this system. I have now changed to MacMe for this as this has none of the limitations...

Great app -2.0.2 Fix

The Fix for this is that since 10.5.4 and Touch/iPhone update 2.0.2 the Remote no longer uses the ports given under essential services in the Firewall where before it did. Use custom firewall settings on the Mac and Add ALL apps you use (but Must Include itunes) then it will work again. This is a 10.5.4 verses 2.0.2 mismatch in port assignments. a minor bug fix is needed. This is posted as a Reply as editing Reviews…

support for Samsung Poor

ALL phone makers use more than 1 OS! and other plug-in makers have responded with Samsung plugins within days (without asking for phone inspector data) and yet its taken over a month (with phone inspector data) and no plug-ins for newer Samsung have been released. The original review is an accurate reflection of the support given by Nova media which shows thier preferred format is Nokia, Siemens, Sony Ericsson. (and until this changes the original review…
