HP Color LaserJet 2800 All-in-One 7.0 (Mac OS X)
Patch to enable 1200 DPI setting available
There's patch on HPs web site to re enable the 1200 DPI scan resolution. Basically work ago but I guess it might be the reason why my scan speed is rather slow now. Before I had around 1.3 MB per second via network scan, now I'm down to 300k, which is quite annoying. So: your mileage may vary ;-). Besides that the 7.0 driver is great! [alert admin]

Eclipse SDK 3.0.1 (Mac OS X)
3.0.1 has already been out for weeks
Did I miss something or was 3.0.1 already released about two months ago? I've been using it for weeks now. Or is this some kind of bug fix release without an increase in version number? Besides that: Great product, before Eclipse Java development on the mac was a pain. [alert admin]

FontExampler 1.0pr3 (Mac OS X)
At least on my printouts the first and last line on each page is incomplete. Additionally as it seems the text is not printed in black but a very dark gray which leads to bad dithering on my laser printer. Basically ok, but could be better (but hey, its a wonder that this four year old application still works under Panther ;-). [alert admin]

HP OfficeJet G series 6.3.7 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Just installed it under Panther and I was able to scan a few pager using the ADF to a PDF-file - great! I tried to connect it using USB but somehow it didn't work correctly but using my JetDirect 300x it works great. Most interestingly it worked flawlessly using USB with a Laserjet 3330MFP, although I installed drivers for the Officejet G I was able to scan on the Laserjet as well - great! :-)) [alert admin]

iClock 1.2b10 (Mac OS X)
iClock is a Menu Extra starting with one of the latest betas. NO menu extra I've seen has a quit menu entry. Just command-drag it from the menu bar to quit it - hopefully this works. [alert admin]

CDFinder 4.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Still the best cataloging tool around
Support from the author is quite good, the software has all the features needed, although speed (especially startup-speed) could be better. [alert admin]

I accidently wrote 7.0 for being a great driver but I guess I actually meant the current version which is 8.1. The mentioned patch is listed as version 8.1.1 - just search the HP site.

Sound interesting. What machine do you have and what renice value did help? Did you write a script to re-renice after a restart (or renconnect of a mouse)?

Hey, if you're waiting for Camino, don't wait any longer. At least give the current nightly builds a try. Besides that a Beta release should be ready within the next few weeks.

Thanks for speaking up here! It's really good to see that Macromedia finally listens to its mac customers. Sometimes I get the feeling that there is to less competition in the html area on the mac and therefore the progress on Dreamweaver was rather slow. I really hope that you improve the User-Interface of Dreamweaver, there are several issues which can be resolved and make it a much better application. I would be REALLY happy to…
