Microsoft IntelliType 5.1 (Mac OS X)
I installed this for both my Microsoft keyboard and mouse. Now my keyboard has become just a standard USB keyboard. I cannot swap the "windows" and "alt" keys and none of my media keys except volume and log-out keys work. I re-installed the software and still no go. Why Microsoft would release this severly flawed piece of software is beyond me. Avoid this until they fix it! [alert admin]

Microsoft IntelliPoint 5.1 (Mac OS X)
Strike that last review and place it under IntelliType! Sorry all. This driver I use also and it works fine for me. [alert admin]

Microsoft IntelliPoint 5.1 (Mac OS X)
I installed this on my PowerMac G4 and now it won't swap the "windows" and "alt" keys, the quick launch buttons no longer work (except for the volume keys), nothing but the bare bones key assignments work. Reverting back to 5.0 just as fast as I can. What prompted Microsoft to release this unproductive piece of software is beyond me. This is a SERIOUS step backwards. [alert admin]

MOTU USB MIDI Driver 1.22 (Mac OS X)
I installed this driver just as I was getting ready to work on my MIDI system. Although at first I am able to see the Fastlane and even test the system, as soon as I fire up an App that uses MIDI, the fastlane ceased to work. It would reset after I restarted my machine. This couldn't have failed at a more inopportune time! What's going on? In Jaguar life was good. If it doesn't work - it is useless. [alert admin]

Lexmark X73 2.0 (Mac OS X)
OK- I admit that the software provided for this printer is terrible. BUT I have managed to find out what the problem is. The Scan and Fax software IS NOT THE PROBLEM. When this software opens, it ALSO opens the "Lexmark X73 Monitor" app as well. This monitor is the resource hog that slows your systems to a crawl. Until recently, I have always had to open the process viewer and force quit this hidden application AND also disable it from my login items for my account (such a pain!). However, if you choose to view the contents of the Scan and Fax utility, and open the "Monitor" folder, simply drag the "Lexmark X73 Monitor" application OUT of this folder and all will be well! You will lose the ability to simply press buttons on your X73, but all of the functionality of both your computer and your X73 will be restored. I use this printer on my PowerMac G4 running Panther 10.3.1. Questions? Post here and I will try to help. [alert admin]
