Apple Mac OS X 10.5.7 (Mac OS X)

No Problems Here

I've upgraded my MacBook unibody and 24" iMac with not a single sign of problems. The normal double restart and that was it. My iMac is using a display resolution of 1900 X 1200, no sleep or USB difficulties. As usual, all I did was restart in Safe mode and applied the combo updater. [alert admin]

Working Just Fine

My update to 10.5.1 appears rock solid so far. A repair of Disk Permissions completed maybe a tad slower than normal. No sign of the SUID glitch others have seen. The only "voodoo" I apply is to boot up in Safe User mode prior to an OS update. [alert admin]

Garmin POI Loader 2.0.2.1 Beta (Mac OS X)

Worked Perfectly

I used this beta to delete older Custom POIs and then load a replacement set of Custom POIs. Everything worked absolutely fine! [alert admin]

Adobe GoLive 9.0 (Mac OS X)

Don't Waste Your Money

This is the last upgrade to GoLive apparently. After downloading the trial and having a look, there is no way it is worth even close to $169 for the upgrade, IMHO. Very disappointing... The only thing of real value that I saw was the fact that is native for the Intel Macs. [alert admin]

Adobe Reader 8.0 (Mac OS X)

No Problem..

I used the VersionTracker link to get to the appropriate Adobe download page. No problem getting the FULL version of Reader 8.0 for my Intel iMac. Seems to work fine at first glance and the plug-in works in Safari once more. [alert admin]

It tests OK on my MacBook using Safari 4.0.3, but not my iMac (on Safari). With FireFox 3.5, it tests as OK on the iMac

Lousy Update Process

You require a serial number to go along with the new version. It is not just a simple updater that you are getting, but a full version installer. So far I have a collection of 3, and soon to be 4 serial numbers.
