PrefCheck 3.0 (Mac OS X)

re: Didn't do anything

I accidentally posted another version I was working on, I replaced the download with the correct version (3.0)   If the version you downloaded asks for an Administrator Password under User Level Test then you were one of the first people to download it before I caught the error. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.  Just re-download using the link provided by VersionTracker and you shouldn't have any troubles. If you get a blank TextEdit window when you check for Bad Preferences only, that means there are NO bad preferences to list. Thanks, MacWeaver - PrefCheck Developer [alert admin]

PrefCheck 2.1 (Mac OS X)

Known bugs

3 people using OS X 10.2.8 have experienced a script error while using PrefCheck v2.x The error occurs when PrefCheck tries to open the editor to display the results of the test. If you experience this problem please e-mail me and I will e-mail you another version of PrefCheck I have written specifically for users that are experiencing this problem until I can figure out what is causing it. This version of PrefCheck has all the features of the current version, but displays the results in a Terminal window instead of an editor. Also, v2.2 coming out soon! [alert admin]

Preferential Treatment is better

If you prefer Preferential Treatment that's fine, Jon (PT developer) is a damn good scripter and a great guy.  In fact he helped this developer when he was learning to script. Don't give the app a bad rating just because you prefer another application over it.  Let's review your ratings... EASE OF USE = 2 Stars - Not sure how hard it is to click a button.  Seems easy to use to me. SUPPORT = 2 Stars -…
