D2X-XL 1.5.95 (Mac OS X)
Re: CRASH!!! And Crash it Does!
Am I to understand this correctly?! In order to play this "freeware" game one has to own the "original" game discs? And just where does one get there hands on a copy of these discs and how much will they set a person back? [alert admin]

I've tried the previous build on OSX 10.4.3 and this build on OSX 10.4.4 and there has only been on result both times. The application crashes immediately upon starting up. Until this problem is resolved I'm afraid my opinion of this price of software can only be poor. [alert admin]

ConvertIt 1.0.4 (Mac OS X)
for elaborating, but I'm a little confused as to how you received an overall 4 star rating and 5 stars for this version alone with the barrage of 3 star ratings that you complain about. Also, after reading all the reviews thus far I can't see where all this animosity towards you and your efforts to support this product, that you talk about, are coming from.
Anyway, I have no problem with your software or the fact that you want to start charging a $10 fee for it, afterall it's your product and you have every right to do so if you wish. And it's not as if it isn't worth the money, or the rating I have given it. Cheers ;)

that the author pays more to the opinion of a few critics then he does those who have given him positive feedback. From what I can see the positive outweighs the negative. It seems to me that the author feels he has a large enough following that hew can start charging and he feels he needs some kind of excuse to start doing so. [alert admin]

i4Colour 1.1 (Mac OS X)
This is the ULTIMATE color Scheme application available for Mac OSX to date. I love it... Being able to create my own preview templates ROCKS. [alert admin]

SilverFast Ai Epson Perfection 3200 6.0.2d33 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
Until this company gets with the times, I'm standing with the individual who said this software is useless. I'm on a PowerMac dual G4 running OS X v10.2.6 and every attempt to install this software has ended in dismal failure. what does this program attribute to this failure to install on my system?! Not enough memory... which is utterly ridiculous since I have 2GB of the stuff. Obviously the fault is with the software itself. [alert admin]

I aquired Logitech's Elite Duo Cordless keyboard and mouse combo a couple months ago and from the time I installed the LCC version that came with this hardware it failed to recognize either device; but that's all changed with this latest release of Logitech's LCC. LCC v1.1.1 works like a charm on my PowerMac G4 running OS X 10.2.6! :-) [alert admin]

SimpleSetter 1.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)
with you that Joe Gillespie is a very talented individual and he has a solid reputation when it comes to dealing fairly with his customers. As well Simplesetter is a very good application to have at your side if you're using his fonts. Whether Joe's marketing scheme is good or bad depends a great deal on how one is proned to look at things. If one has a tendacy to negative and critical of others then obviously he/she is going to complain about it. I personally think it was quite generous of Joe to give away Simplesetter as a free bonus to the customers who purchased his tenacity font set. Simplesetter is a very useful tool for those who have purchased Joe's Tenacity font. Those who haven't there really is no use in downloadng this application. [alert admin]

Well if you ever do decide to invest in a Mac I have an iBook G3 700MHz w/640MB SDRAM running Panther that I'd be willing to part with for a reasonable price. If/when you're interested let me know.

Unfortunately I overlooked the requirements section until after I posted and that's when the Game disc requirement caught my eye.

That would be fine if you were linking to the source code but you're linking to a demo product so the license field should be tagged demo instead of unsrupulously tagging it freeware.
Here's a little tip: People in general like being decieved even less then they like having to compile their own software.

I have Logitech's Elite Duo cordless keyboard/mouse combo and from day one Logitech's Control Center software wouldn't recognize either device connected to my PowerMac G4. I went directly to the help manual that comes with the LCC and tried everything it suggested for my situation under Troubleshooting and it still wouldn't detect either of these devices that it's supposed to support. Fortunately Mac OSX is lightyears beyond WIndows in Plug n' Play technology so I'm…
