Smart Scroll 3.1.1 (Mac OS X)

Functional and Useful

I was not sure if this would be a functional thing to have at first. After trying for five minutes, I felt that it is useful since I scroll paged and windows all day long. I would recommend trying it to see if it's useful for anyone who scrolls through window after windows. The options keys make scrolling faster than just using the scrolling ball alone. The only complain is, the scrolling has a minor hiccups when scrolling as well as scrolling not working on some program widows. Whenever that happens, I click on the manual scroll bar and activate the scrolling which isn't a big problem. As for the hiccups, it could be related to the video card or the processor. Overall, it's a keeper. Hopefully the developer continues to refine it. [alert admin]

Adobe Flash CS4 Professional 10.0.2 (Mac OS X)

CS4 updater installer is much faster than Flash 9 (CS3)

The updater is much faster than the version 9. I remember it used to take a long long time waiting for the installer to complete. This one took just a minute or two. [alert admin]

TinyCal 1.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Very Functional and Great GUI (graphic user interface)

This is a very functional software with good graphic user interface. This simple yet useful software extends where Apple OS X left out. I would like to ask the developer to add a user option to close the calendar automatically when the user clicks the desktop or switches to another program. This would be an option where the user can chose as an option. Also a shortcut key to open or close would be great. [alert admin]

TinyAlarm 1.2.1 (Mac OS X)

Previous review was for TinyCal

Sorry about the review for the wrong section but could not delete the post. I would give TinyAlam the same excellent rating as the TinyCal. [alert admin]

MainMenu 1.7.1 (Mac OS X)

I do not normally do this....

I do not post comments one after another on a same product but... for this one I will have to. I never realized using an utility app to be this fun. Standing ovation for the developer, Billy Ray Valentine. Thank you and his crew for making my OSX experience so great thanks to developer such as Billy Ray Valentine's genius as well as his great sense of visual style! I would give this app  seven Apples if I could. You have made my day Mr. Billy Ray Valentine. [alert admin]

MainMenu 1.7.1 (Mac OS X)

Great Little App! Love it.

I just tried the v1.7.1 for the first time. I'm surprised how I did not discover this Jewel after all these years using OSX. Well, I'm glad I discovered it today!. The developer has put in a lot of his love into this app. There are a lot of neat little features some may not realize but I see them here and there using the product for less than 5 minutes. Kudos to the talented and creative developer! Thank you for making Mac computing so much fun because of developers such as the one like MainMenu. Thank you! [alert admin]

Great speed and stability

I respect your enthusiasm but I disagree with either of your comment as of now. It crashed on me once within 1 hour of installation and it takes longer loading the same site I've been to using version 3.

Indispensable web design tool

This program is created for web design and prototyping. It's very efficient in laying out web design compared to the common program Photoshop. Fireworks can crate objects and manipulate drawing objects in simples tasks which may take Photoshop many steps to accomplish the same. Fireworks is like Illustrator and Photoshop combined. The powerful characteristic of this program is that is can handle vector and raster files very easily. Drawing a square with roundness at any point is…

speed up, slow down

My comment was in agreement with hudsonw. In addition, the wide tab on the beta4 makes the reading of the tab more difficult. DavidRavenMoon, although I agree with you about using keyboard shortcuts, a good interface design should benefit both methods.

speed up, slow down

Good points! I agree with everything you said. I hope Apples listens to these comments! Apple should have considered this before they released the beta. I wished that they would use the product before releasing to the public.

Safari 4.0b Tabs Butt Ugly

I totally agree with the tabs. It is more user friendly on version 3. Tab on the top make switching and reading the tabs to see where you are less optimal. Please switch back. This is a bit disappointing since everything Apple puts out, it works. Let's just hope since this is a beta, they are testing all possibilities.

Leave this one alone!

Slow speed you are getting is not the program's fault. Try getting a cable or DSL. If you have a broadband then it's your system. I get up to my full download speed that my ISP provides. No wonder you call yourself Ojisan. Means "grandfather" in Japanese for those who are interested.

Transmission Fails

mikexryan, yes this program did crash me on a few occasions. Nevertheless, it does not deserve 1 star for crying out loud. The drag and drop install, great user interface, and simple easy to use design and it's definitely useable. I used to use Azureus and it used to crash on me all the time. If Transmission crashes on you all the time, I must say it's *Your System* I leave Transmission on for days and it never crashed on…
