Age of Empires II 1.0.5 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Still the best

Even after 8 years of playing, this game really rocks! [alert admin]

RapidWeaver 3.2.1 (Mac OS X)

I love RapidWeaver

I already bought a book about CSS to make a good, solid website, but after discovering this great piece of software, I don't need that anymore. Being turned off by the overkill of features of GoLive and the multiple projects limitation of iWeb, I was surprised by the simplicity but greatness of RapidWeaver! Easy to learn and very fast in producing a nice website. Love the Interface and any question is being answered in no time on their forum. Their help manual (html) through the menubar is quite limited and has no search function. That could be improved. [alert admin]

Frontremote 1.0 (Mac OS X)

Doesn't work on T630

Doesn't work on T630, apparently it doesn't accept HID files. Btw, in the link to the developer in the product info here on Versiontracker is missing a slash, so it won't work. Follow this one to get there. http://www.borri.org/Software/Frontremote/index.html Also, it would be a small effort for the developer to include a Read Me file with the software telling you that you have to upload the HID file to your phone. Now I had to search what to do with those files. [alert admin]

Skype 1.4.0.49 (Mac OS X)

We want video support!

Of course Skype is number one in audio communication. The quality of the sound is much better than iChat, although you need headphones to get rid of the echo. iChat deals much better with that. But the one thing I guess everybody is waiting for... Video conferencing! So that we can finally fully communicate with audio and video between Mac and PC. iChat and AOL are a not always working solution and if you can use video with Skype from PC to PC, why do we have to wait so long for our version on the Mac? If the audio quality already is this good, I'm curious to find out what Skype can do with the video. [alert admin]

iSquint 1.4.1 (Mac OS X)

Great product, but many errors

I really love this product and is very essential, though I think it produces so many errormessages, that I still have to rely on QT pro. When I have an error in v1.4.1 and the video (.flv in this case) won't convert, but then go back to 1.4 it 'll work. When I after the conversion open 1.4.1 again, it works again. So unstable, but when it works, it works well like no other app does! [alert admin]

Corripio Artwork Finder 0.3 (Mac OS X)

v0.3 Bad at compression

Nice app, but what it doesn't do well is compressing the original iTMS files. With Photoshop I can export perfect copies of the images under 100k, while Corripio makes files 400, 500k, which is unnecessary big and increases a 4MB song by over 10% . If the compression would work as good as in Photoshop, it would be the nr.1 app to use for your artwork. Also, when there are several images available for a song, it's not clear which one is selected when you click one (with the system-wide used light blue box around the pic fx). But it will select the picture you click on, though. [alert admin]

SteamTRAIN 1.4.1 (Mac OS X)

Nice but only for a while

This could be something. But it's fun for 15 minutes, then it's enough. You can not design you own trains nor your own terrain. I know this would require some other kind of programming, but it could be a kind of open to everyone to send in your own train. I feel there is more in this, but the developer seems to lacks time (and money?) to really make something out of this. Also I don't like the big train in the bottom half of the screen, I want to switch that off, but that's not possible. And I think $25 is too much. $10 would be more appropriate, but then again, it needs more features. Network connection to be on the same track as my friend? [alert admin]

PCSX 1.5.0 test 3 (Mac OS X)

Works fine, but is demanding on hardware

It's amazing to see that there is life after Connectix sold themselves out to Sony and Virtual Gamestation was dead. Now I can start all my games with this emulator, but on my iBook G4/800 it's too slow. It works, but it plays in slow-motion. Must try this on a faster machine, seams that it should work fine there. Fifa '99, Gran Turismo and Colin McRae Rall 2 work with this. Very easy to install and use. Keep away from 'Flarestorm"! [alert admin]

WorldTimes 1.0 (Mac OS X)

A lot of work needs to be done

On my completely updated iBook G4 (running 10.4.3) it doesn't work. It opens, but that's all!. Adding a city will make the one default city disappear and the window is blank. Click on edit, and nothing happens. This version should never have been released as it clearly isn't tested. It doesn't work. Which is a pity, because I would like an app as this. The mothers still will be unaware of the time of their sons (refers to 'about' window, which is the only thing that works) [alert admin]

Not possible to remove registration

It does what it should and works as a charm, and as a registered payer, you are allowed to install it on two machines. That's very generous. But the drawback is that this installation is irreversible. Your machine will be checked in their database when you enter the registration code and that's definite. Even when you want to delete it from one machine to run it on another machine (fx you buy a new computer, but in my case remove it from a testmachine), you can't deactivate the registration on the first machine. That's a bad thing. It can't be that hard to un-register a computer? Hope this will be fixed in future updates and I wouldn't recommend it at this time, because of this. [alert admin]

Mojolive is Right

A Mac looks good. Programs on the Mac should look good. It is not that difficult. A bad user interface is for me one of the main reasons not even to try this. I've been turned off by it already, without even knowing the app. If it was attractive and that means also easy to use, I was interested. But in this product I'm definately am not.

Change Registration

I was indeed helped, very friendly, but when I want to change the registration to another machine it's not possible. You have to buy this plug in again when you buy a new machine. Once installed on two machines, it's definite. Like iTunes, you should be able to enable and disable a machine up to the maximum allowed numbers of users in the prefs.
