Apple Epson Printer Drivers 2.1 (Mac OS X)
Big download of all Epson drivers with no way to select your specific printer. Just another reason to wait for Apple's software update when my specific drivers are updated sometime during this century. The Epson website clearly shows the Stylus Photo 1280 does not offer a native driver except for "Gluttonprint." It seems like every time Apple offers a significant upgrade, it takes Epson 3 to 6 months to catch up? Scanners take even longer. This is ridiculous considering developers receive all of the OS upgrade seeds long before the public does. I realize that every one wants to wait for the final release so they don't have to tweak the drivers to work perfectly with the final version. But they should accept that as THEIR problem, not ours. So what I propose is that Epson release 50% to 75% fewer printers and scanners always keeping their drivers high quality and on schedule. Does the market really need or want all of the hardware variety Epson comes out with? Probably not. So I am giving this installer and so called upgrade to Snow Leopard a one star for slow and poor upgrade implementation. [alert admin]

This works perfectly now as a 64 bit preference pane driver using a BT 550 mini bluetooth mouse. My old Microsoft USB Intellimouse also works great with a lot of options to access all of the available contols. This product is built like a rock, stable with great tech support. The developer rarely needs to update it and your original license lasts for years. [alert admin]

MsgFiler 2.0.3 (Mac OS X)
The developer quickly made his plugin work with 10.6.1. Thank you! Easy and FAST way to file emails in multiple folders. Cuts sorting time by at least 400%. I gladly recommend this great product a 5 star ***** [alert admin]

Snow Leopard version broken by 10.6.1 update
The recent OS 10.6.1 Snow Leopard update broke version 2.0.4. Mail says that the plugin is no longer compatible. I can't figure out how to contact the developer using their website! Version 2.0.4 worked great under OS 10.6. [alert admin]

Graphics display note working on some sites
The Google News page. for example, refuses to display any photographs. Most sites have no problem with this, only a few. I don't see where preferences should hinder the display of the photos. I even disabled the pop up item thinking that was the problem. Any ideas? Thanks, Ted [alert admin]

Retrospect 8.0b5 (Mac OS X)
Even after contacting Restrospect's technical support, they were unable to help me backup files to my website. The ISP that hosts my website offers abundant space for archives at no additional cost. But Retrospects tech support confirmed that they do not have the flexibility to connect using only a very limited set of protocols. My ISP says Retrospect does not have the backup software configured correctly to allow backups using the Internet. After researching this problem with other Retrospect users, this is apparently a real problem in the present version. If you are familiar with this issue, do you know if Retrospect has corrected this issue? Will we now be able to connect using to the standard protocols adopted by ISPs? Or will we have to continue to live with this limitation even with this new version? [alert admin]

AppleJack 1.5 (Mac OS X)
I have used AppleJack for quite some time until I upgraded to Leopard from Tiger. My system had slowed down on launches and especially slow Internet connections on my MacBook Pro on wake from sleep. I ran Applejack AUTO for the more intense maintenance routine last night. Since then, my speed on applications launches and Internet connections after wake from sleep now work as designed. Even Leopard Cache Cleaner was not able to fix my slow speed problems. Many thanks to the developer for a smooth running and effective maintenance program! [alert admin]

You can also log out holding down the ship key immediately upon log in. This inhibits log in items from interfering and this should allow you to update Transmit properly.

Disable Real-Time Scanner if You Want to Repair Permissions
I wish this were the only cause. I am still using version 10.4.4 of VirusBarrier in Leopard and repairing permissions can take more than 30 minutes. So there is something else at play here because the preference you mention does not exist in this version. I tried deactivating Background Scan, but repairing permissions still takes forever. Ted

Unfortunately, I had the same reaction to the high upgrade price of $75 because Omnioutliner Pro and Omnigraffle Pro were viewed as price competitive products compared to what was previously available. I was using Inspiration version 7 for flowcharting because of its speed and outlining combination capability, but the Inspiration graphics were subpar when compared to Omnigraffle Pro. (By the way, I actually bought your first product out of the box. And that was Omniweb when…

That's why I always use software update. It knows what I need for my particular OS and machine. I have two Macs. A G5 dual 2GHZ and a 17" PowerBook. I've never had problems with Apple's updates. But I run DiskWarrior every few months and run permissions repair before and after each update.

With the continuing improvement of Entourage and now Apple's own Mail, the competition is not standing still. Qualcomm needs to either drop Eudora for Mac entirely or move aggressively to get this once great application back to it's high standards of old. With every OS 10.4 update, Eudora because increasingly buggy. I cannot wait for the new Eudora for another year. And even 6 months may not be possible with OS 10.4.4 coming around the corner. Apple…

Not suited for fighting the spam problem
Sorry, but you are wrong. I have received three reports this week alone from ISPs who thanked me for the reports with a description of specific actions they have taken against abusers. In fact, all three pulled the service from the offenders. Last week two reports from ISPs demanded a response from the accused abusers and promised to cancel the service for these abusers if they did not get a satisfactory response. My spam drops from 50…

That's what ATTO told me as well. Yet I upgraded the flash to 1.6.6f0 and the driver to 3.2 a couple of months ago and all is well with my OEM G4 867 mirrored PowerMac with the ATTO,ExpressPCIProUL3D. I have found driver 3.0 more stable, however. But I am still fiddling with version 3.2 hoping that it stabilizes over time as I play with it. The trick is to login as root to both download and…
