Apple QuickTime 7.0.2 (Mac OS X)
... says a lot when VLC can play QT movies better and smoother than QT 7.0.2 itself on my G4 900MHz. Shame on you Apple! [alert admin]

Cabos 0.3.7 (Mac OS X)
Love love love this app! It's basically a Java version of Limewire client that works on Win n Mac platforms... prety impressive me thinks. None of the clutter that you find on the official Mac version of Limewire. i'm over the moon, finding most if not every single video and audio file I wanted. The developer is incredibly responsive, adding a feature I suggested in the very next update... wow! Freeware to boot! what more could one ask for.... did I say i love it? :) [alert admin]

I'm no power user of Limewire but I really hate the Java-based interface and the sluggishness of it all. There's a new app called Cabos which I like. The music results I get are great! ... maybe a Limewire pro would like to try it out and see how it compares? http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/25034 [alert admin]

Cabos 0.2.8 (Mac OS X)
For a pre-1.0 release this is the most impressive P2P app i've used so far compared to Poison, Acquisition, Acqlite, Soulseek since the Napster days. Fast with good search results... finds those rare songs I'm looking for too. This has earned a place in my dock... looking forward to future releases! PS. Please do not let it go download like Acquisition/Poison. [alert admin]

Acquisition 117.2 (Mac OS X)
Try out Cabos guys... http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/25034 It's free, works great... I'm so happy I don't have to use Ares on the PC anymore! or pull my hair out with Soulseek... phew. I've paid for and used Acquisition for some time. Worked great initially but went downhill after a year ago. I trashed it from my Mac when i downloaded an updated version and it refused to recognize my serial number. Forget about email support from the developer, he never answers your emails. [alert admin]

MPlayer OS X 2.0b8r2 (Mac OS X)
maybe it's my machine which is a G4/933 w 1.5GB of RAM but since b8 all movies seem to start off with a green screen followed by video and audio which is not in sync. Have read the ReadMe that came with the app and tried out all the tips for slower machines but to no success. really like this player before these 2 versions and really disappointed with performance now. who cares about a "incredible interface that Acquisition has" when Acquisition downloads files like a slug, at least for me. Cabos is clean, simple and functional... and free. I paid for Acquisition and got terrible tech support from David Watanabe. Writing to the Cabos author for a feature request got a prompt reply and the requested feature was added right in the next version! At least the Cabos author is able to get *old* Acq code…

iSnip's history feature can't do images, neither can it save snippets for images. PTHPasteboard allows quicker pasting where one can see ur clipboard history at a glance whereas iSnip you have to navigate to a submenu. iSnip's prettier than PTHPasteboard but in terms of functionality for me PTHPasteboard is still one up.

i paid for a licence of this software and all emails for support help has gone unanswered. with the latest version my serial suddenly stopped working and i emailed the developer my paypal receipt, still no replies. Do think twice about handing over your hard-earned money...
