VersionTracker Pro 4.2.1 (Mac OS X)

still quitting on launch

VT Pro 4.2.1 is still quitting on launch. There is an issue with the "downloadFolder" item in the file "VersionTracker Pro Preferences" in the folder "~/Library/Preferences". I noted in the "About" window that VT Pro uses some third party software for the preferences, that has not been updated since 2003, as it turned out. This is quite upsetting. [alert admin]

VersionTracker Pro 4.2 (Mac OS X)

still quits at launch

VT Pro 4.2 doesn't work for me. It still has the problem from previous 4.x.x versions with quitting at startup. It launches exactly once. Then I have to trash the file "~Library/Preferences/VersionTracker Pro Preferences" to make it launch again. There appears to be an issue with the Downloads Folder preference. I am still using version 4.0.1 on Tiger 10.4.7, as well as version 3.5.3 on Panther 10.3.9. Later versions don't work for me. [alert admin]

some suggestions

Very cool software! Just a few suggestions: - it would be great if the program would work with the shareware "iGlasses" (to be found on VersionTracker). - please use the same name for VersionTracker/MacUpdate as for the name of the program; otherwise "VersionTracker Pro.app" and "MacUpdate Desktop.app" won't recognise the program. I mean here the space between "Funny" and "Photographer". - please update all version numbers (for VT and MU). [alert admin]

Congratulations

to the author for this cute litlle app. Only that I cannot effect an exponentiation (hat) with my Swiss French keyboard. Could I therefore propose to introduce the standard ** (2 stars) as an alternative notation for exponentiation? Many thanks in advance for considering this suggestion. [alert admin]

VersionTracker Pro 3.5.2 (Mac OS X)

same symptoms

as rothamdg. VT 3.5.2 crashes systematically when refreshing watchlist between scanning disks and checking with the server. G5 single CPU 1.8 MHz 1 MB RAM, permissions repaired, all cron tasks run. [alert admin]
