Interarchy 6.3 (Mac OS 9)
It says FREEWARE but after installing and launching it requires a SERIAL NUMBER and thus is NOT freeware. [alert admin]

The Body Journal 1.5 (Mac OS X)
No access to the "online database". No response to email. No working online forum. No answers to phone calls. The company is DEAD and what they do right now is a RIP-OFF because you are still able to buy the software (e.g. via Amazon what I had done) but THEY DO NOT DELIVER what is advertised (i.e. online access for a year). If they want to sell the software AS-IS, without any online support options, they at least should have the decency to say so on their website and adjust the price accordingly. Right now you can use the software as-is but don't expect upgrades or anything next to downloading and using it. [alert admin]

The Body Journal 1.5 (Mac OS X)
Very promising application and approach and a good idea. But as of this writing I have to consider the company to be dead. a) 4 emails within 3 weeks and not gotten 1 response. I've emailed to different email addresses provided on their website and also used their own form. b) impossible to subscribe to their forum, in 3 different browsers (Safari, IE and Firefox) on 2 different systems (Mac and PC) it all errors out with an authentication problem and ends with a semi-registration (the user name after that shows as a member of the list but you can not login) - looking at their member list, they have a ton of people running into the same problem like I did, since months there are registrations but absolutely no posts from new members and no posts from the company either - the ONLY recent posting is from somebody who titles themselfs as PORN etc. and links to a porn site (obviously they registered before the meltdown of the forum). c) called their tech support number and a machine answers and then when you try to get to support or sales or anything it's "sorry, nobody here" and you are back at the beginning. I was able to leave a phone message under one of the director's names, but also never heard back. So, obviously this software has no future. It's a pity. As stated before, good idea. What is horrible though that the facade of the company continues and if you pay the price you buy into a black hole. [alert admin]

CopperExport 0.4.0 (Mac OS X)
This is really handy. Thank you so very much for making this available. This allows all my family to upload to our shared gallery website out of iPhoto, before there were always problems to get everyone to upload easily. [alert admin]

MacGourmet 1.0.3 (Mac OS X)
I've gone through a lot of cooking software, especially since I could not use MasterCook any longer when I switched to OS X. Design and workflow wise this application tops them all with it's iTunes like setup. The clipping via the service menu is fantastic (only drawback is that images have to be captured seperately and dropped into MacGourmet later, when converting the clipping into a true MacGourmet recipe) and I am really happy that I switched to it. The coder is also responsive about small bugs. [alert admin]

iWork Multi-User 1.1.3 (Mac OS X)
unfortunately the client version is buggy, I have lost projects, entries and parts of entries (tab in a new job group entry will not tab to notes but to the first note of the first item in the list and delete at the same time the original note there). the promise of this application is really good if it just would not be so touchy as to when it gets a hiccup and when it does something as expected (e.g. a drag/drop into the right place without deleting someting else). i don't know about the differences in the client (multi-user) and single-user applications, but why is the single user so much more advanced in version number? when I bought iWork a couple of months back, they where the same and seemingly at the time also same in features, but just a little later, the single-user had a feature which the client version did not show (ability to read old project files by drag/drop for example). does this mean there is paid less attention to the client version? as it seems that the client version is the buggier of the two, this is the one which should be taken care of - before adding new features like the todo stuff (which is nice... if it works, which I don't know yet). look at the ratings between the two and it is obvious that something (not so good) is up with the client version. originally I bought the single-user version but seeing what the client version promises, I switched - only to now wonder if I should have stayed with the single-user licence and just keep it all on one machine instead. the version I am talking about unfortunately has so many quirks that I can not trust it and it keeps me in constant fear of loosing again a project or some hour entry etc. - but apart of these issues, it is a well thoughtout application and of course I will try the later version now and hope that this will take care of some of the bigger issues.
