Xerox DocuColor 4 LP (PS) 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Perfect

A small program not for a large audience, but in any case it lets me continue to use an old printer workhorse instead of throwing a perfectly good thing away. A VERY LARGE THANK YOU TO THE DEVELOPER ! [alert admin]

Parallels Desktop 3.0 Build 4124.0 (Mac OS X)

Dire Support

Firstly they rip off over "free upgrades" and on Friday I bought the new version for upgrade. Got S/N. Does not work. Written three times now and no answer.. and of course cannot revert back :( Hopefully Apple will get their Bootcamp sorted to knock these amateurs out of the water. [alert admin]

Contact Elgato with bad experiences

And maybe they will provide a beta version to see if the problem goes away. This update does appear to be more problematical than usual. [alert admin]

EyeTV 2.3.2 (Mac OS X)

Disappointing

Normally things are good but... lost all channels and even satellite when upgraded: needed to reprogram/deprogram several hundred channels :( No recordings worked afterwards (again needed to force quit eyetv helper).. program should do this automaticlally when upgrading. Timer recording afterwards seems erratic. Downgraded for now :( [alert admin]

ClickRepair 2.0.1 (Mac OS X)

Very promising

This program has made the world of difference to some work I am doing. I don't pretend to understand all of the features and the underlying science, but even using the defaults it has made a lot of work sound better. Of course, there are tweaks I would like to see, and hopefully the author will consider them. Nothing derogatory, just perhaps making things even easier. [alert admin]

DYMO LabelWriter 7.5.1b2 (Mac OS X)

A lot better!

Much better than previous versions so now I use my machine a lot more. Of course one could ask for more, but it works, never crashes and does what it says on the tin (unlike another astroturfed program referred in some reviews). [alert admin]

NeoOffice/J 0.8 (Mac OS X)

Certainly promising

From a brief play so far it seems actually more stable and responsive that Office V.X on my dual 1.25GHz with maxxed out RAM. The test might be the compatibility but kudos to the developers for working on an alternative. [alert admin]

TunesAtWork 0.8 (Mac OS X)

Promising but problematic

Keeps crashing so far in 10.3.2. Have stopped ITUNES playing yet it is open so far. Promising package if they can add AAC and maybe features like timer, ability to cache the listing of tracks so it doesn't take an age to open each time you start, password protection for the feed. Very promising start. [alert admin]
