Wow!

This is quite fabulous. Fast, intelligent. Templates are absolutely gorgeous. Don't give up guys! You are setting the bar pretty high for the others with this version 1... [alert admin]

Blog.Mac 1.1.2 (Mac OS X)

Wow!

This is pretty good. I have tried "a lot" of blogger software and this is the one I hope to live with for a long time... I'm no HTML expert but I have managed to customize a buit-in template, create the blog itself and post it on Dot Mac. Actually it took me 2-3 hours and it was fun! I have installed a visitors' counter and all the Haloscan stuff. Blog.Mac GUI is neat and simple. The help files and instructions are easy to understand and very well written. This is my blog (you'll notice that it's in French - as in Québec not France - and I myself made all the language adaptations from the original English): http://homepage.mac.com/normandlepine/blog/Blog-GDLMV.html It's a start. I plan to play with this blog a lot in the coming days! I'm a happy camper, as you say! [alert admin]

NeoOffice/J 1.1 (Mac OS X)

Dictionary nightmare

I sent a donation, but that was before I tried to install an additional dictionary. Still have not succeeded. A true nightmare typical of these "open source" chaotic initiatives. I also agree that the GUI is "fugly". [alert admin]

Nikon Capture 4.3.1 (Mac OS 9, Mac OS X)

Yessss!

This is a BIG improvement indeed. An all-around exceptional Nikon raw format editor/converter. The competition should take notice (C1 notably). The slugginess of NC before this update was a huge obstacle for many users. Now, it's quite different! The only problem is Nikon ugly Windoze-like GUI (for all it's software). [alert admin]

Nikon PictureProject 1.5.2 (Mac OS X)

Why?

I don't understand what Nikon is trying to do or prove with this low end software. They should instead continue to build on what they already have, "Nikon View", which is very good indeed for professional (and consumer) use, except of course for the crapy Windoze-like GUI. - Normand Lepine [alert admin]

C1 PRO 3.7.1 (Mac OS X)

Yep. The best.

I must admit, C1 Pro is the best digital workflow tool around. C1 Pro is really made for the RAW file format. Personally, I shoot Nikon Raw (NEF) and I am amazed at the process options C1 Pro offers me. I also use Photo Mechanic and, combined with C1 Pro, I just feel I cannot ask for more. Yeah sure, both of them are pricey but they're worth it. -Normand Lepine [alert admin]

Adobe Version Cue Workspace update (Mac OS X)

Adobe prefers Windows

Nothing is clear anymore from Adobe as far as the Mac is concerned. I have been using Adobe programs since 1987 (first on Wintel Box, then on the Mac) and the change in attitude towards the Mac became quite evident when the new top management team came in as the Adobe CEO-Founder retired a couple of years ago. TimeEqualsMoney 2.5.4 (Mac OS X)

Double sales taxes?

My problem is that I live and work in Canada, where taxes are all over the place, just like litter. We have two (2) sales taxes here: one federal, one provincial, the latter calculated on the total including the former... Anyway, I wrote to Andrew Stone about this about a year ago, because TEM does not handle the two taxes system. He promptly replied that I had a good point and that this feature should be included in a future update. Of course, it has not, yet, and this software is useless to be. The work-around is clunky at best. It would probably be faily easy to add the feature but many American-centric users might not like such "foreign feature". So, TEM is for Americans only. - Normand [alert admin]

PCI Extreme! 3.1 (Mac OS X)

Bottom Line?

Can someone rewrite the Product Description in clear, plain English? Geez. I have no idea what this guy is saying (and I'm not dumb). [alert admin]

Good offer

Just bought it at the special price of 99 US this morning. I still believe it's worth more though.
