Default Folder X 4.0 (Mac OS X)
Oh man, I tried the new version and the interface is grotesque. It takes up so much space, is ugly to look at, and the lack of defined buttons on the sidebar is disconcerting. My immediate reaction was to run back to version 3. I am really, really disappointed. My guess is they hired the person that designed Stacks to do the new interface! Clicking on the buttons reveals a list of items that won't go away unless you click again. So if you go to the wrong button, you can't just let go of the mouse button, you have to actually click again to clear the screen. This thing takes over my whole screen. Bad dog. A longtime user. While their press release says this is for novices to IT experts, there are no instructions or even a Read Me file for this app. Nor is there any info on their web site. Trying to figure out how to set this is up is not intuitive. It appears as if they released an incomplete product to me! I can't even figure out how to get started with this app. [15 year mac user.] [alert admin]

After installing, I ran VT Pro, and received this huge list of updates. Click a bunch, but only some downloaded. Quit, ran again, some items that had been downloaded and installed did not show up as the current version in VT Pro window. Needs a bit more work. [alert admin]

You Control: Desktops 1.0 (Mac OS X)
YouControl advertises being able to customize your desktop, with different files and folders on each one. Guess what? You can't, at least not in 10.3. You have to have 10.4 for this feature to work, which is the only point to the app. Unfortunately they don't mention this in their advertising or their documentation. Bogus. [alert admin]

Apple G5 Fan Control 1.0 (Mac OS X)
I ran the G5 Fan Control Update, and it would not recognize any of my volumes as able to accept this update. I just yesterday installed 10.3.3 on my dual 2 gig G5. I have also replaced the fan on the 9800 video card with a much quieter one. [alert admin]

Palm Desktop 4.2.1 & Hotsync manager can't connect to USB cradle
I have the exact same problem. It just started all of a sudden. Feb 27 was the last time I was able to sync my m505 with my dual 2 ghz G5 (1st generation) running 10.3.8. I reinstalled the software, double checked everything twice, dug out an old cradle, etc, etc. But cannot establish connection to the Mac. Sure would appreciate some help.

This fellow is off base with this comment. There may be rare cases of conflicts, but reinstalling the entire OS? A bit drastic. I have used Unsanity's stuff for a long time without significant problems. And I am very glad to have my Fruit Menu back!
