Mozilla Firefox 3.5.5 (Mac OS X)
Firefox 3.5.5 is garbage - constantly stall. Tried disabling the one add-on I use (Adblock Plus), cleaned caches, checked my fonts, uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted prefs, profiles - still slow, still stalls on numerous websites - hopeless. Gone back to Safari & Camino until The Mozilla crowd can get their act together. No stars here. [alert admin]

Apple iTunes 9.0 (Mac OS X)
Tried it for 2 days - ditched it & downgraded to 8.2.1 again. Don't like the key command feature for mini player - why add another step - and don't like garbage 'how to' graphics in window every time I create a new empty playlist. Don't "fix" what ain't broke, guys! [alert admin]

Sep 17 14:36:33 Lloyd kernel[0]: ** Didn't get the lock in usb completion! Simply put, Apple is no longer the trusted, reliable, 'works right out of the box' entity that it's publicity & marketing engine fostered over the years. Before this update, no problems. Now I get regular hangs in firefox, itunes - anything related to audio seems to trigger this. I have a digidesign Mbox2, & have updated all audio drivers. And, before anyone puts forward any well meaning suggestions about testing, plugging, unplugging etc., Why should I have to go through that? I pay good money for stuff that works. If I had a new TV or DVD player or dishwasher that caused me equivalent problems, it would go straight back to the shop along with a selection of sharp comments for the manufacturer. Computers are no different. Is Apple really giving a s**t anymore about QA? [alert admin]

Apple iMovie 7.1 (Mac OS X)
Listen Guys - If it ain't broke - DON'T FIX IT! imovie was fine for home user projects, the GUI was well laid out & easy to use - Another case of Apple reinventing something that didn't really need it. For me, the hype WAY supercedes the user experience (having just bought the latest 24" iMac & working thru all the issues - sorry people, macs no longer work "right out of the box") Cut the Bulls**t factor & marketing garbage - people get tired of it - & fix the issues (imovie & all the other apps/software/hardware problems) [alert admin]

Adobe Bridge CS3 2.1 (Mac OS X)
When will adobe ( with a lower case a today! ) stop rushing their product/updates to release without ironing out THE BUGS first. I updated to 2.1, & have since experienced a continuous issue with ranking & tagging not not holding, making it an enormous time waster in my high turnover environment where this function is a part of the workflow. it will tag files 'as it feels like it' & the next time I return to bridge to repeat the process it will not tag or rank at all, whereupon I have to quit bridge, restart it and tag the necessary images until it decides to go on holiday again. I'm thoroughly fed up with adobe (lower case again) releases that are still flawed & not thoroughly ironed out and I am not interested in wasting precious hours trying to ascertain the problem & losing productivity. Yes, I understand the complexities of programming, scripting etc, but to fork over serious bucks for a professional software suite with components that appear to still be suffering from 'Beta-itis' is just offensive. Just GET IT RIGHT before you release it PLEASE! [alert admin]

Apple Safari 2.0.4 (Mac OS X)
Safari USED to be a crisp little performer - now it's slower than a Windows release candidate! Will stick with Camino until Apple sorts out under average performance issues. [alert admin]

Xfactor 0.9 (Mac OS X)
was looking forward to further refinement of a reasonably steady & well featured (IMHO) p2p app - now it's been overhauled, it seems that "less is less" now. Back to limewire for me (sigh!) [alert admin]
