EasyCleaner 2.1.7.433 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
Incorrect Developer Web Site Link
I have previously pointed out to Versiontracker that the web site they have as the Developer Site is in fact someone who only pretends to be the Developer. The actual Developer site is http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecleane.htm Even Mcafee SiteAdvisor has the incorrect Developer Site with the following comments "credible users suggests this site may not be what it claims to be" But still this site won't alter the link and point their users to a site that has stolen the good work of someone and has changed some settings for update to point to their web site. Don't be misled. [alert admin]

CCleaner 1.23.160 (Windows NT, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP, Windows 2000)
I won't say I want this option removed completely. But I believe that this option should have the option of keeping certain applications prefetch files no matter how seldom you run them and deleting all other non-nominated prefetch files which have not been used for 2 weeks. Currently every time you run this it cleans all Prefetch Files of applications not run in the last 2 weeks. This can reduce the time it takes when running these applications. I do think that this option should not necessarily be on by default if it is kept as now with no options of cleaning only some prefectch files. Apart from this aspect this programme is great. Too bad the software writer won't listen to reasoned arguments about this option. I think the hardened critics who don't want this at all are probably to blame due to their black and white arguments. Freezing has been fixed but versions are still all over the place ![]()

Hi, Just to update my previous criticism, The feezing in this version has been fixed at least. But the Version information are all over the place. Some are incorrectly identifed and others are out of date. I am usually kept up to date by just keeping an eye on a couple of sites. It would be more useful for an application such as this to be more up to date than you can be. I have only ever has it tell me on a couple of occasions of a new update. [alert admin]

Hi, This is the second Beta I've tried and unlike the previous one, This one freezes after it has scanned and checked for updates and you highlight a particular application in the display. It responds eventually but when you highlight another application the same temporary freezing happens again. As I say this is a new bug tghat was not oresent Ver2.70.52. Apart from this annoying bug it seems to be good. The Database of supported applications seems to be getting better but far from complete and even some of the supported applications are not up to date Version wise. But a great improvement. Hi, I must say that I too will not be renewing my subscription. I had exactly the problems that Tinjaw mentions above. Your reply that the ver 3.51 is a minor update is disingenuous in the extreme. This is exactly what your software's job is to do, evaluate correctly the version of software that are installed and tell you in a timely manner when an update is available. That you don't think it's important to…
